After running system cleanup or registry repair, WLM becomes unavailable and I get "out of memory" or not enough disk space. The fix is usually to unistall and re-install as the repair fucntion is rarely available. Forunately, my contacts, folders and e-mails are not lost. I can determine what is being changed. I tried restoring the registry but that does not work. If you can't solve this would any know of a free program that would track changes?

In attempting to avoid adding something to Task Scheduler, I am trying to set a reminder using the Reminders button in the Windows Live Mail  Calendar ribbon.  (Version 2012 Build 16.4.3505.0912, which I realize is not the lastest v., but as Build 16.4.3508.0205 presented problems, I reverted to this build - thankfully I always archive the stand-alone installer "wlsetup-all.exe" when I find new versions deployed.)

I find that clicking this button invokes redirection to my Outlook.com online calendar, and that redirects to a Server Error 404 page with the message "We can't find that page"   Judging from the original url invoked before redirection (http://calendar.live.com/calendar/WLAlertsSettingsRedirector.aspx), it would appear this is not a problem specific to me or to this box (which I believe I've confirmed by trying it from others, virtual & physical), but rather a lack of functionality in the service itself.  Any advice will be warmly appreciated.

Have been using Windows Live Mail for years with only 1 email account.  Also use the Calendar event notification feature in Windows Live Mail to send me emails of appointments or as reminders.  Recently added a gmail account to Windows Live Mail.  I can send and receive emails in the Windows Live Mail gmail account, however, when I try to send Calendar event notifications, the notification emails are are only sent to my original email account and not to the gmail account in Windows Live Mail.  How can this be corrected.

Original title: Repair of Window Live Essentials... preserve mail folders?

If I chose to "Repair" Windows Live Essentials, will the messages and folder structure of Windows Live Mail be preserved?

If I export the WinLiveMail messages will the folder structure be preserved so that I can later import both the messages and the file structure?

I am trying to complete the set up of Forwarding my Yahoo account as a send and receive account in outlook.

It was working well however I took it off for a few days and now I cannot put it back on.

I keep receiving the message - We couldn't sign in to your POP3 server. Please make sure your username and password are correct.  All the details are correct and I am so frustrated and lost.

Can anyone help me??

Thank you

Does Windows Live Essentials, in particular Windows Live Mail, receive updates via Windows Update?

If not - why not? And how can I tell?

I have Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205)

This may seem like a silly question - but - inquiring minds want to know!
