Windows Live Mail 2011 running under Windows 7. Started getting a pop-up window stating "Your account was locked because you or someone else tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect email address or password. Please wait for some time, and then
try again." Clicking on "OK" allowed me to continue.
Nobody else seemed to have asked about this but something similar was mentioned to which the answer was to type WLARP in the Search box and choose "Repair". I tried that and Live Essentials was repaired but then I could not open any email message that I had!
Clicking on "Cancel" in the pop-up window fixed that so I now have access to all my emails. However, the original problem remains.
Any ideas please?

Within the last week I have encountered a problem with Windows Live Mail getting "stuck" while checking for new email messages. The "Checking for new messages on . . ." window opens but just hangs there with a small part of the progress bar shown and a Status of "Executing."
The only way I can clear this is to restart my system. Then it opens normally and will for a time (duration unknown) function. But, regardless of whether I leave it open or close it, at a later point when I try to get new messages it goes into this "stuck" state. I do not get any error messages.
I have reinstalled the program and that has not fixed the problem. And I'm using Windows 8.1 (for a couple of weeks now before this problem occurred). Anyone have any clues what is going on?
Thanks for any help anyone can give me!
