My wife and I have separate email accounts with ATT, we also have window live accounts. For some reason her att email is coming in to my windows live email and am not sure why.
Whenever I log into check my emails in windows live email box Her ATT email account is showing up and I can read her emails ( I don't ). And it for some reason puts all her emails in the trash bin on the ATT email account.
Why is this happening and how can I stop getting her emails in my windows live account
Thank you
When my wife tried to access her account she received the message that the "User Profile Service" failed to log on, so the user profile could not be loaded. The Help menu explained that to correct this problem, I needed to create a new user account for her and, with the exception of three files (ntuser.dat, ntuser.dat.log, and ntuser.ini) I should copy all folders and files from her old account (Windows/User/OldUserName) into the new account in the same User folder. Naturally, I had to first change the folder options to display all hidden and system files. The Help menu explained that this process would not include her e-mail messages because, unlike her Contacts, these messages were not stored in the User/OldUserName folder.
When I opened the Windows Mail program in the newly created account, I tried to follow the instructions for importing the e-mail messages from the old account. Unfortunately, I could not identify the folder in which the file for these e-mail messages was stored.
Before I created this new account, I tried to correct the problem, I tried to resolve the problem by using the Backup program, but, for unknown reasons, the backup was not completed. I also tried to use System Restore, but this did not work, possibly because the computer did boot up and, except for my wife's account, worked properly. I am still considering copying the ntuser.dat, ntuser.dat.log, and ntuser.ini files from the new account into the old account, the rationale being that my wife could not open her account because one or more of these files was corrupted, and I am simply "repairing" the old account by replacing the corrupted files with newly created files. I have not taken this action because I suspect that the corrupted files were uniquely tailored to the characteristics of the old account.
Consequently, my only recourse appears to be learning the file name, the folder, and the directory path of the unknown file in which the e-mail messages are stored.
My current operating system is Windows 7. I believe that the original OS was Windows XP, but the OS has been upgraded once or twice. With each upgrade to a new OS, I was able to import the e-mail messages. I am therefore attempting to import messages stored in a Windows 7 e-mail program into another Windows 7 e-mail program.
I have an 800-page book explaining Windows 7, but neither the Table of Contents or Index seems to address my specific problem. I continue to search for an answer from the book and the Help menu.
My Windows Live email suddenly will not attach documents in their correct format. With all types of files (Word, PDF, Excel), which I try to attach to an email, it shows up as a blank page in my "Sent Items", which I cannot open again, and the receiver of the email does not receive the attached document.
It first happened yesterday that I did not receive an attachment in a group email sent to me. When it was sent in an individual email, I did receive the attachment. Right after this, I was not able to send out my attachments in the correct format.
I can use my Hotmail address online, and attach documents correctly that way, but Windows Live is the only problem. I don't think there was any automatic update before it happened.
I have researched this problem online in the forums, and seen a reference to a Sept. 2013 Windows Update, but I don't think that is related, because my computer does updates all the time, and this has not happened before. I have seen lots of other people say they had the same problem, but nobody gave a solution in which others said that it solved the problem.
I'd appreciate some step by step instructions as to how to resolve this issue.
Thanks!
When sending group emails, I place the designated group into the BCC file, (avoid sharing email details) when I check the sent file, I find it only forwarded the email to 16 of 53 address's. The next one sent to 21 of 45 address's. The next one sent to 26 of 58 address's. I have tried redeveloping the groups to be smaller and it does not make any difference. Sometimes it will send to the entire group of 53, or whatever the quantity is. I have done the update provided by LenMaggiore, it worked for one send, then dropped address's in the next email. I do all updates from MS, and still cannot get consistent sending of emails?
What else can be done to fix this? I await your solution!
