Just transitioned from OE6 (simple to use) and XP to Windows Live Mail 2012 and 7.

I set up a Category for a large group I work with (imported from OE6). The emails for all in the group are valid.

The first message was constructed, I selected the particular Category name I wanted and put it in 'bcc'. Cliked on the + selected group name and the bcc listing exploded to all of the names in the list. Was exploding it necessary or would it have self exploded to the list names??

Attached one small XL file.

Hit the Send button and the message hung up in my Outbox and received an Error window with code 0x000CCC0B.  Discussed it with my ISP and they suggested but were not sure that there was a small limit on the number of addresses that can be sent to at one time using Windows Live Mail. Seriously???????  My list is a work list and includes 355 names. I NEVER had this problem in OE6.

Looked through the Community topics but didn't see anything addressing this (but there is a lot of info!!!)

Or am I doing something wrong?????

Help

Hello,

When I try to open Windows Live Mail, it only opens the "Show send/receive progress" window. I am very new to this software so I could be missing a step, but I can't see any other options or ways around this at the moment. Help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hotmail not working in Live Mail  -  keep getting Server Error 3204 message.  Tried Microsoft Fix it 9833174 and, although it said it had fixed the problem it hasn't.
A recent lightning strike in the area killed my internet access.  Since my ISP helped me correct that problem I am rarely able to download my email.  The most common error message is 800CCC90.  Sometimes that is accompanied by 800420CD and 800CCC0F.

Hi,

Excuse me in advance for any ignorance due to never posting a question on a forum before.

In December of last year I changed email provider which has caused me pain ever since.  With hindsight, I should have gone down the Gmail route.  I have set up my laptop and 2 x PC's with Windows Live Mail which I find to be a very good platform.  They are IMAP accounts, which I believe is what my last addresses were.  My issue is transferring messages by dragging and dropping.  The message is not open in another window when I attempt to move it.  While predominantly they move successfully, I find that there are a few stubborn messages (especially messages with attachments) that do not want to move and are starting to drive me to distraction.

I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it to see if this remedies the situation, but to no avail.  My email provider claims this is a Microsoft fault.  I would have chuckled if my patience had not have been stretched by clueless fools who could not grasp the concept of empathy in an area where they should now be very capable.  My apologies if I have this completely wrong.

Any suggestions will be greatly received and many thanks in advance.

I've tried multiple things to resolve this but keep getting the message coming back and clicking refresh doesn't fix it. When checking the mx record via various tools it looks ok.

I'm running out of time here guys - I've uninstalled MSE 3 hours ago because Windows Defender had broken down. The new download is standing by BUT the error code is preventing installation.

PLEASE ADVISE ME ASAP.

After a year of working well in new computer, and following an automatic update of Essentials a few days ago, Live Mail freezes up right after opening. Have to reboot computer to shut it down.

Following suggestions in community, I have repaired Essentials several times, and done clean uninstall and reinstall. Occasionally, Live Mail works briefly, allowing download of new mail, but then freezes again. I'm tearing my hair out! Help!

An MS Essentials 2012 update showed up as a tray icon.  Why didn't it come through Windows Update?

I have tasks  i.e  messages that are too big. They are blocking everything. How can I delete tasks? Plus where is my outbox?
