between me and my wife we have 2 hotmail accounts, and our email address on most sites we use will autofill on our laptop, however, a hotmail account keeps appearing in the address bar on 2 sites up to now, which me or my wife are not involved with. The email address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  This a concern for us and we just want answers. Please advise

For the past week or so I've been receiving the following error message on Windows Live Mail:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail account.

Server Error: 3204

server: "https://mail.services.live.com/deltaSync_2.0.0/Sync.aspx"

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

I've tried opening and closing the program, restarting the computer,  deleting and adding the account,  and installing the latest version of Live Mail. Nothing is working. Could you please assist me?

Other info:

-  No issues with syncing mail on my smartphone or accessing it through the Microsoft Live website

-  Syncing status on live mail repeatedly attempts to update my calendar

Thanks for the help.

New laptop with W8.1 -- loaded Live Mail 2012 to be my email program.  Working OK, but when I try to print an email, the right margin is chopping off part of each line, and it won't print all of the lines.  Same if I try to print to OneNote or XPS Document Writer.  I have tried changing the page setup in IE, but problem persists.
hi I am running windows 8.1 64 bit on dell laptop and having problems getting authorization with live mail when I go into reliability monitor it shows red critical errors every day and when I check it out it says windows.communicationapp has stopped working any feedback as to cause would be brill

Here is my problem.

I have almost 25000 emails in my gmail account that i sync with my WLM. So I ended up with this massive email folder on my computer that is over 8gb and slows down any scans (virus, searches etc.)

I just want to keep my WLM current, like the last week.

How can I delete all my old  emails from my WLM and still keep them in my gmail? Everytime I delete something it automatically syncs the delete on my gmail. And of course, when i do this I do not want it to be re synced.

Any advice?

Thanks in advanced!

I see where to change the font for composing messages.  Is there a place to also adjust the default header font/size and style?

There was an update to Windows Essentials recently (Feb 2014).   When installed it deleted Windows Live Mail and left me with no access to email.

This was VERY bad for me as I needed to receive a ferry ticket immediately.   I used System Restore to go back to the previous state and everything was OK but it took a long time and was very worrying.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I don't even know what Windows Essentials is nor whether I need it.  I will not take any further updates until I can have some sort of assurance that this will not happen again.

System is:- Windows 8.1;

email is;-  Windows Live Mail 2012 version 16.4.3508.0205

Hi,

I recently ran the update for Windows Essentials 2012 and ever since I'm unable to send emails to addresses of the same hosted domain.

Originally I couldn't send emails at all so I checked my email address properties with my hosting company and they have confirmed they are correct, but because I was receiving a timeout socket error I spoke with my ISP who changed the smtp server to their smtp server and unchecked requires server authentication.

This allowed me to send emails outside my hosted domain but I'm still unable to send to an email address of the same domain.

I never had any problems at all until I ran the Windows Essentails 2012 update. I've tried removing and adding the email account several times and uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Live Mail, I've even spoken with Microsoft who sent me here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Julian.

The calendar function is constantly updating in windows live mail. As a result, my email will not send/receive. I have to keep shutting down live mail and restarting it to get my email - it downloads emails once, then goes back to constantly updating calendar - the 'updating calendar' message is constantly flashing in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

I am running windows 7.

I have read all the suggestions on the forums and nothing has worked.

I have phoned microsoft who have just passed me round different departments and finally wanted to charge me £95 to even speak to me.

Really fed up with this.

Any help anyone could offer would be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks

Linda
