windows live mail - I can not view the reading pane. In View, reading pane, the settings indicate that it is set to show, but it does not. Are there other settings that will effect the reading pane to make it show?  Please help.

I'm running Windows Live Mail 2012 on a Windows 8 machine.  I have both a personal and a work email account (both Hotmail) setup in Windows Live Mail.  I recently added numerous contacts into WLM for work, and it never asked me to which account I wanted them added.  They all ended up on my personal account, unfortunately, which I discovered when I tried to send a work email from home through the outlook.com website and discovered none of my contacts were there.  Is there a simple way to transfer these contacts from one account to another (either within WLM or via Outlook.com or my Windows Phone) or am I looking at having to re-add these contacts all over again?

Thanks.

Unfortunately this was a long, technical message, or I'd just rewrite it  and try again...................

The program and message were open on my desktop overnight. Today I finished the message and tried to send, but I got an error message that it couldn't be sent. Didn't think much of it since the message is always found in the Outbox. This time, I can't find it anywhere. Not in the outbox, drafts, sent, not anywhere.

Before I rewrite the message, does anyone have a possible solution?

LiveMail 2011

John

Since the latest update to Windows Live Mail it requires me to log in, but will not let me event tho all details are correct. However if I cancel the login box everything is normal.

How do I stop this box appearing?

attachments to our sent emails are being blocked.

Unsure why it was not pushed to my Windows 7 desktop, but this past weekend I discovered that Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331) had been released a couple months back.

I installed this on Saturday morning, only opting to upgrade Mail and Photo Gallery/Movie Maker, etc. (basically chose the advanced install option).

I do not always leave Live Mail open and typically close it.  Since this install of Live Mail, every new opening of Live Mail takes 22 seconds to open as it configures itself for first use.  Yet this is many "first uses" now.  I know the 22 seconds because it proudly reports to me each and every time that this process took 22 seconds.

Why does it keep having to configure for first time use?  Is there a workaround?  I had zero issues with the previous version of Live Mail and now am regreting having upgraded when there was nothing wrong.

Thank you.

In Outlook, I could send an email with the "from" line with either my main address or a subfolder address.   Windows Live seems to give me only the option of using the "from" line with my main address name on it.  I use the subfolder address for my small business.  It has one of those dedicated names like *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  Can this be changed?  I want to send email to and from my subfolder address.
I am having trouble with Windows Live mail.  Am trying to send a scaned item from my HP Officejet.  When scanned into my computer and sent via Windows Live Mail, I get an error that some "unexpected errors have occurred while processing the requested tasks.  Please review the list of error for more details.."  The problem was that there were no errors listed.  After reviewing several threads, I tried to repair the Live Essentials.  After uninstalling and repairing, I am now getting the error codes:   Server Error:  0x800CCC90 and Live Mail Error:  Ox800CCC92.  I am somewhat of a novice , and this is my first tie on this site.  Tried to look and see  if , hopefully, someone else had this problem and had fixed it.  Please forgive if I have duplicated a question and could not figure it out.  ANY advice/help would be appreciated.

I want to back up all my email messages and contacts.  How do I do that ?

Also

I would like to print a simple list of contact names and email addresses (one line each) - the print outs I access are using too much paper.  Can you suggest something?
