Two days ago my .msn hotmail account stopped syncing on my laptop. Today the same thing has happened on my desktop. I have tried deleting the account and re-adding it. I have tried uninstalling Windows Live and reinstalling. I have tried going back to Windows Live 2011, all with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
The error I am getting is:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (thiser) account.
Server Error: 0x800488EB
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'

My operating system on both is Windows 7 Home Premium
Have you gone to Control panel, Programs and Features, clicked on Windows Essentials, clicked Uninstall/Change, Repair..... ?
this does not work. uninstalled windows live/ does not work after re-install, tried the fix programs/all they want is to pay for their product. put in fix it/it does not. tried go back to an earlier date/does not work, even when they say its a virus. proved them wrong as did not have windows live running in laptop as main computer was always running windows live. still have the error code 0x800488eb and no one has a sensible working answer to fix this???????

PLEASE HELP! I have tried to search previous messages relating to my problem, but I am not very computer literate and the answers make no sense to me. My email was working fine until Friday and now the message I get is:

I created a folder in Windows Live Mail with about six subfolders.
I was able to use these folders daily for about two years.
I was able to export and import them between my laptop and desktop computers.
They behaved exactly as the folders provided with the original equipment (Dell Inspiron 1545).
After some two years of constant, daily use, the main folder simply disappeared with all its subfolders (along with two years of work).
I have read the saved threads with this same title to no avail.
Can you help?
