Question about Outlook Express

My send mail wont work on windows.live says it has an error Ox80070057..can someone help me please

Have recently installed windows 8 and couldn't move the icon and it wasn't showing in apps either. In trying to work it out I have lost the icon. Can I get it back so that I can access my emails plus still have all the folders attached to it? Thanks, Greg

I am getting this error on one computer using WLM 2011. I upgraded to version 2012 and the error persists. I downgraded to version 2009 and it's the same. I am using WLM 2009 on another computer and it sends/receives perfectly using the same settings, so now I'm wondering if something on the problem computer might be blocking or inhibiting the sending/receiving of emails. (I am also getting the error "The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified.  The certificate CN name does not match the passed value." and, likewise, this error does not print on the machine that works.) The SSL server settings are Outgoing 465 (also tried 25 and 587), Incoming 995).  And have tried SSL off, with Outgoing 25 and Incoming 110 with the same "not sending" results.
