I got a email from the Messanger Team. They said they are retiring the existing Messanger Service globally and bringing the great features of Messenger and Skype together. They asked me to update to Skype. What does this mean? Will I not be able to use Windows Live Mail? Are they shutting down Windows Live Mail? If this is true what will happen to my emails? Please help. Thank you.
I am using windows 7 moved from verizon to cox internet called cox was transferred to Microsoft tech and was told no support on phone for windows live email so looked at this forum.

How do I change my signature on emails and telephone number, as it has now changed.
I am running Windows 7.
I have tried the instructions shown on the 'Windows Live' help page, but it doesn't work.??!!

When I type an email the text sent out is fine. When I receive a reply I see that my text (specifically) contractions is garbled and foreign symbols. The encoding language is set to Western Europe I have changed it to Unicode (UTF-8) but it doesn't stay it keeps defaulting back to previous. How do I correct this? I would appreciate any help.

I am having a strange problem and I can't figure what the cause of it is. Ever since I switched from a Gmail account to a Live.com email account (at the same time I switched to a Windows 8 computer and a Windows Phone 8 smartphone), I have been having email threading issues.
On my end, the conversations work perfectly fine, each email in a conversation is grouped together and very organized. However, my friend and colleagues that use Gmail keep telling me that every time I reply to an email of theirs it creates a whole new thread rather than having them all grouped together. The common denominator here is my Live.com account as none of the other people they correspond with use Microsoft email and I am the only contact that causes this problem.
I am wondering if this is a problem with the Mail apps on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 or a glitch in Microsoft's email system. I would really, really like to know how to fix it as it is a recurring problem.

My old Win XP computer crashed. however I was able to retrieve the Outlook.pst file which is now sitting on my desktop of my new computer. I am now using Windows Live mail (Windows 8). Trying to import my old Outlook mail in file outlook.pst. How is this done
When I changed my hotmail to outlook, i was no longer able to log in under the hotmail name. All good. I could still receive email under hotmail and all outloo email i made a separate folder. Was working great for months. I think the last email that
I got was about 1/5?, no junk mail, no email for the hotmail account. So in waiting longer then 24 hours for someone to reply to me, I created a @live.com account and then created an alias for the origianl hotmail name. So far it's working, but what happened
when it was under outlook? When you try to do anything in outlook it says the account is not available. I actually got a letter in the mail from someone stating mail came back as undeliverable. I saw coded 505 or 550? Please help it's driving me crazy.
