Hi Microsoft Community,
I have been using Hotmail email as my only email for the past 18 years and as my business email account. But suddenly, on the 24th Oct 2013, all my inbox and outbox emails were gone. This has disrupted my business as I can't reply my clients' email and refer back my emails to clients. This email inbox contained all the important business records and my personal records for the past 18 years!
Please help to retrieve my inbox emails. I have upgraded to outlook.com long before, my inbox emails just disappeared over night suddenly without any warning or something. Please help to retrieve all my inbox emails which is very important to me. Microsoft please don't let me lost my faith on you.
I receive emails which are supposed to have photos in the content. The photos arrive as a grey panel with a red X button in the top left corner which is supposed to show picture. When I click on this button nothing happens. I know many people who are suffering the same problem no one knows the solution.
Please help, its driving me wild.
After a break in a computer free zone I have carried out the following tests as recommended.
1. Accessing my Outlook a/c using a different computer and different service provider. Outlook is O.K
Accessing my account using my computer and using a different service provider. Outlook is corrupt.
Cache/cookiies cleared from Firefox 24. Outlook is corrupt
Latest version of Firefox is installed. Outlook is corrupt.
The conclusion I would draw from this is that the problem originates in my computer.
Is there anything else I can try?
Since moving to the new format and noticeably since using my new Samsung Note 2, when I look at my Hotmail account on my laptop, my sent messages are often duplicated over and over again. This recently became apparent when my box was full, which I couldn't understand. On investigation I found all these duplicated sent messages, pages and pages of them. I have only had the phone for a few weeks and if the configuration between that and my account is causing the problem, my box will soon fill up again. How can I stop this?
Moderator's note: this post and its replies were added to a thread about configuring Yahoo accounts in outlook.com. Because this problem seems to be a different one, it's been moved to its own thread.
I too am having the exact same problem described here. Nothing to add. I just wanted to sign up so that I will be notified when/if someone comes up with a fix.
