After upgrading to windows 8.1, the new version of skydrive decided to "unsync" one of my folders and replaced all the files with some kind of placeholder that I cannot open, delete or rename. Working copies of each file were created named [file-name]-[computer-name], so I haven't lost any data but most of these files were indesign documents which rely on (no longer functional) file links to images etc and I've lost a lot of time relinking everything.
I'm also unable to remove or change the bogus placeholder files, which means that the original filenames cannot be reused and I cannot delete the folders etc and start over.
Anyone have any suggestions?
On my PC, I can see my own files, but I can't see the files that others have shared with me. How do I do that?
