I'm not much of a "techie" so please indulge a stupid question. I've had nothing but problems with Yahoo email since they made changes and I'm trying to set up an email account at Outlook but I don't know how to set up the account because of the Pop3 connection. Where do I find this info?

Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone could help with a little issue I have?

I have a BuffaloTech 1Tb NAS drive, where one of the options is to send an email report to myself once the maintenance has completed.  However it requires an IP address from my SMTP mail server which is my Hotmail account.

Does anyone know what the IP address is for the Hotmail SMTP server so my NAS drive can send the emails out?

I have attached a screen shot to make things a little more understandable.

Hi,

I have 2 hotmail account that I have set up on my iPhone and iPad; however, I mostly use these devices to check my email rather than logging into my account using my computer. When I log into outlook.com, I notice that I all the emails that I have READ and DELETED from my iPad/iPhone did not deleted. Can someone please to me what's happening here because this is really irritating, I don't want to have to read/deleted emails on my iPad/iPhone and have to logo into my email through my computer and having to repeat the same steps. Thanks

Nickie

I downloaded the outlook.com on my droid razor phone.  I have no place to tell it to logout.  I don't like that I can't logout. I have looked till I'm weary eyed.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.
I have skydrive installed on my home pc.  I am traveling and need to access a file that I placed 'on skydrive'.  I assume I must install the software on my laptop, but does my home pc need to on and connected to the internet or is that file really on a cloud invironment?

I have upload a lot of files and now they are not there.  I have contacted Surface and they said I should send a question online, see reference number below.  This has been a frustrating process for me as I recently purchased a Surface 2 and now I am considering getting rid of my Surface and buying a iPad as a result of these issues.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

I had my Live Mail set up to not ask for a password each time. (Nobody touches this computer but me).

Now it is asking for passwords and does not recognize the one I have.

Cannot open mail or send.

TENGO DIFICULTADES PARA ACCEDER A MI CORREO Y CONTACTOS DESDE MI MOVIL, DEBO ADVERTIR QUE ES LA SEGUNDA VEZ QUE PASA. AGRADECERÍA ME INFORMARAN EL MOTIVO Y LA SOLUCIÓN AL RESPECTO.  GRACIAS

Hello,

On my laptop, I am able to search my SkyDrive folder using any content keywords, i.e. I want to call up all the files with the name Smith in their content, not just their titles. I have no problems doing this, anywhere, anytime, on my laptop.

After I have accessed any of these files on my laptop, I cannot search for any of them on my desktop. Not even by title, i.e. Smith.xlsx . The files are still on my desktop, I can access them through Windows Explorer, and they are synced immediately as one would expect; no problem there. They are simply not searchable on my desktop.

I know the reason why, but not how to correct it.

It seems that after I have accessed these SkyDrive files on my laptop, some of the files' properties are automatically changed. Specifically,
the files are somehow compressed on my desktop during the syncing phase (see Advanced Attributes in the Properties Menu/General tab/Attributes section/Advanced window). I can change the "compress" settings manually for each file and the file name colour changes from blue to black and the file is instantly keyword/content searchable. It will stay this way on on my desktop until I access the file once again on my laptop. There are hundreds of files that I need to search content for on a daily basis from both computers, so manually changing the settings on all these files on my desktop before every search is extremely ineffective. The files are stored in sub folders of sub folders (SkyDrive/Documents/Year/Month/Week), and although I choose the option of including all folders and sub folders in the attributes change, the actual files do not get changed. I have to go down to the actual file level to make this change.

This problem affects all the file types I have stored on SkyDrive.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium and Office 2007 on both computers.

This problem is relatively new. It became apparent a couple of months after I was forced to switch from Live Mesh to Sky Drive.

I would appreciate anyone's help with this problem.

Thank you.
Ever since my account switched over to outlook.com all of my email is gone!!! Every folder, every message everything is gone. It looks like a blank email box.

Please help???
