Have completed the setup process, have received a confirmation email to my primary alias (original email address) from the 'outlook team'.

This message stated that my new alias had been created.

Followed instruction on how to send email from my new alias e.g.  Click on original email address immediately above the 'To' box in Outlook will show your alias immediately underneath your email address.

This did not work, my email address was completely 'dead', no link/drop-box apparent, nothing else visible on the page.

What next?

I need to recover emails I sent and received from around Oct to Nov 2009 as I have a dispute with my landlord over the terms of our lease.  Unfortunately, when I try to search, I am unable to get any email from that date range.  

Is it possible to recover these?

I am cutting parts out of a video that are unnecessary and in the editor it is just fine, but when I make it into a video file playable by anything the video is pixelated and looks like its skipping around. The audio stays on track, but the video is misbehaving. Any ideas? 
Every time I hit "send," the browser searches for "bay134" then takes me right back to the inbox. The same thing happens with "reply." Everything works fine with my other (main & purchased) Hotmail account. My freebie account is the one that hasn't worked for two days now. I have no way of knowing if I'm received mail, but I sure can't send it. How do I fix this, please?
I'm trying to close an old hotmail account, however I keep getting a message asking me to cancel all microsoft subscriptions through the billing page. When I click on the link, the page shows I have no open subscriptions and a $0.00 balance...which is correct since I don't have any subscriptions. How can I close my account?
I cannot drag and drop a file to an outgoing email message from my desktop or a folder anymore.  I need to go to" Insert" and attach it as a file.  It then ends up in the middle of the message instead on the "message" line below "subject".  How do I correct this?
So I've found a handful of others who have experienced similar issues, but so far none of those have been publically resolved (many have been moved to private discussions with moderators), so I find myself at a loss.

About a month ago, my Skydrive stopped syncing, so I uninstalled it, planning to reinstall it and hopefully fix the issue. 

Unfortunately, I have since been unable to reinstall SkyDrive. During the setup process, the installer crashes. It doesn't happen at a particular point in the setup process, but rather always within thirty seconds or so of opening the setup, regardless of the pace at which I proceed through the process.

I've finally gotten to the point where using Office 2013 is hardly worthwhile when it's supposed to rely on SkyDrive and I can't get it to work on one of my computers.

I'm running Windows 8 on an Acer Aspire M ultrabook.  (I initially planned to upgrade to 8.1 and rely on its integrated SkyDrive, but due to a separate issue with the Windows Store, I haven't been able to get the upgrade.)

How do I know what my outlook email address is?  I am trying to import my gmail into outlook but don't know what email address to put into gmail.
