Like many others I have invested a lot of time (years) and energy working with 'Windows Photo Gallery.'  A great tool.  Ever hopeful, for the last few years I have scanned the community pages for updates hoping to see that Microsoft had plans to somehow incorporate some of the WPG features in a new Photo tool.  I have 10s of thousands of images with WPG captions, descriptive tags, people tags and geo tags ... while not completely lost the accessibility of this data is greatly limited in all other photo editing tools I have investigated.  Frustrating, very frustrating.  I am still using WPG, but am aware some point in the future this will not be an option.

Has anyone heard, or have real information, that might indicate Microsoft has future plans to incorporate some of the WPG functionality?
