If you happen to be using Windows Live Mail 2011 or 2012 part of Windows Live Essentials 2011/2012, and you are receiving or sending emails that have weird charactors?Such as the pound icon, weird icons or letters with accents, that is meaning that the encoding you setup by default can't read it, to fix it , click the encoding button in the ribbon, change it to UTF-8.Also in File, options --> Mail, in send or was it fonts, you change the font from Western to Unicode. Then in the selections below, you can choose your font, also make sure to change UTF-7 to UTF-8.Also, Windows Live Messenger
