For some reason, Live Mail 2012 restores old deleted emails, recently over 1000 of them going back to 2017. The restored (or sometimes duplicates for recent emails) have the display name in quote marks followed by the email address in brackets like: "Joe Blow" <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>. My email provider claims the duplicates are not coming from them - they are deleted from their server after I download them. I clean out my 'deleted' emails daily, so they shouldn't be coming from my computer. Anyone know where they're coming from? Is this Microsoft's way of trying to force us to stop using Live Mail 2012?
