I am experiencing this problem after upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10 on 11th August, 2015 .

On double clicking on the windows live mail, the app opens up and then it shows in progress cycle continuously . After waiting for 25 minutes or so , on opening the task manager, the status message is ' not responding '

In one of the help forums the following trouble shooting procedure was mentioned  :

1. Press Windows + R keys. Type in appwiz.cpl  in the box.

2. Right click on the program windows live essentials  and select  ' uninstall / change' 

3. Click on ' repair all windows live programs '

I followed the above procedure , till i got the message repairs complete .

I retried to open windows live mail without rebooting the computer , it did not help.

So I repeated steps 1 to3 above , rebooted the computer and then tried to reopen windows live mail . There was no change in status .

The problem continues . I look forward to some assistance on resolving this problem .

    Same problem. Tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of WLM, not improvement.
