I am using a laptop with Windows 8.1 installed and the Mail App has recently stopped working properly.

I have 5 different e-mail accounts registered on this app and I am no longer able to access the account settings on any of them except for the Outlook one which is linked to the laptop itself. I need to change the password on one of the accounts which is how I noticed the problem.

I am clicking on the account name in Settings -> Accounts. For the Outlook account, when I click on that one I can see the settings (though the scroll bar does not work so I have to use the wheel on the mouse). For any of the others, clicking on the account name just takes me back to the e-mail screen as if I hadn't pressed anything.

I can see from a search of various forums that other users have had the same issue but have not seen a definitive solution.

I have tried running the Windows App troubleshooter and that has not found any problems.

I have also looked in the Windows store to see if there is an update available for the app that might fix it, but there doesn't seem to be.

I can't remove any of the accounts and re-add them to see if that solves it, because the remove account option is in the account settings which I can't get to!

The issue with the scroll bars not working also occurs when I try and file any messages in folders (they have previously worked fine).

I think the next option may be to uninstall and reinstall the Mail App but I'm not sure how to do this as the Mail program does not appear in the list of programs that can be uninstalled.

Please can you help?

Thanks
