Hello,

I concurrently use WLM with Outlook.com  whereas I would like to prefer WLM because I do not want every time to log in from web interface.

I have too questions:

What is the maximum number and size of attachment in Outlook.com (large ones will go throug Skydrive automatically I guess)

Can I send large attachment also directly from WLM when I am logged in with the same principle? I tried today and WLM reports me to decrease attachment size.

Thanks a lot

I have created an .html signature from within WLM.  However, when applying the signature to outgoing e-mails, the image will not appear.

I followed the instructions as provided by http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/mail-create-signature.

Instead, a blank white box shows up where the image should be -- and when sending the message -- I am warned (paraphrasing) "One or more if the pictures in this message could not be found.  When sending the images will not be included. Are you sure you still want to send?"

Does anyone have a solution to this?  The picture I am using is a .png.  However, I saved the signature file as a .html.
Windows Live mail Storage folders dissappeared from WLM. Any idea where I can look for them? I have vital information in them I have stored for years.
I'm running WLM and Windows 8. In the Newsgroups folder it will only download 300 headers at a time; there used to be an option to change this (I used to have it set at 999 headers) but I cannot find where to alter this. The only option seems to be to click the 'get next 300 headers' button but I'd like to download up to 999 at a single go.
I use Windows Live Mail (WLM) to backup my Hotmail folders and messages. On 11 Jan 2013 I was deleting some (nearly) duplicate folders in WLM, first moving any messages from the about-to-be-deleted folder to the remaining folder, so that all current Hotmail and WLM folders had identical names. I did not delete any Hotmail folders or rename them. What I soon discovered was that 5 important folders (with all messages) had been deleted from Hotmail (and none were in the Deleted folder). I had not accidentally (or purposefully) deleted these folders in Hotmail or in WLM. I had only deleted folders in WLM which no longer existed in Hotmail. Is there any answer to this mystery? Even better, is there anyone at Hotmail who can recovered them for me?

I use Gmail as my main email service, so some time ago I set "Mail forwarding" on my Windows Live Mail application to forward all mail to one of the accounts in my Gmail.
I DO receive emails in my Gmail that were addressed to my WLM id, but have just checked my WLM account after updating to Outlook.com and find I had 63 emails in the JUNK folder, even though they were addressed to my WLM address.
Can anyone explain please?

My boot drive was starting to fail. I ourchase a new drive and cloned it with the Seagate software. Everything appears to nbe there. When I start WLMail

I get the message that Mail must close due to a corrupt calendar data 0x8E5E0247. All my emails .eml etc appear to have been copied to the new disk as well as the appropriate WLM directorys. I uninstalled WLM 2011, removed the Calendar directory, rebooted, installed WLM 2012. Still fails with the same error message. Each time I remove the 'calendar' directory and then start WLM it re-creates the calendar directory then fails.

Hardware details added later
Computer: HP "HPE 390t i7 X980"

New drive: Seagate Barracuda Desktop STBD2000101
Storage controller: Intel Rapid Storage Technology

I had to replace the HDD in my laptop and most functions recovered except WLM. Error msg when I try to open WLM says 'your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing WLM to close (0x8E5E0247)'. Any clues or advice please?
