Hi

I currently use gmail via a web browser and my phone to access my mail. I want to start using outlook.com via a web browser to access my mail. I have @gmail username to sign in to all Microsoft sites. I dont recall getting an outlook.com one.

I have followed various steps in order to set it up. I would like all my folders to sync too. When setting it up via outlook.com in a browser I dont get the IMAP option. nor can I set up mail forwarding from gmail to an outlook.com address as i dont have one.

any ideas on how to do this please?
Greetings,

I am hosting my email using outlook.com.  I can see no way for me to truly administer the user accounts, though.  I need to be able to have full control of their accounts.  Including but not limited to resetting passwords, backing up email, viewing email, setting vacation messages and mail forwarding.  How can this be accomplished?

Thank you,
Tom Burnett

I have just logged into the hotmail account which I set up in my maiden name. This account had a mail forwarding set up to ensure that all mail was sent to the hotmail account in my married name. On logging in tonight the account has been upgraded to Outlook and is completely empty, no emails, no folders and no mail forwarding. I cannot understand how Microsoft have deleted all of this information, without any notification. I have tried to restore deleted email but to no avail. What options are available to me now?

Vacation reply will not operate if mail forwarding is on. I can use one or the other. Can't I use both??

I use Gmail as my main email service, so some time ago I set "Mail forwarding" on my Windows Live Mail application to forward all mail to one of the accounts in my Gmail.
I DO receive emails in my Gmail that were addressed to my WLM id, but have just checked my WLM account after updating to Outlook.com and find I had 63 emails in the JUNK folder, even though they were addressed to my WLM address.
Can anyone explain please?
