When I use Windows Live Mail to send an email with photos inserted WLM re processes the photos & makes them blurry. Past advice was to resize them to 96dpi which did not help. As a photographer I can't have this happen, how can it be fixed?

Thanks, Craig.

OK, now I've been able to set up WLM 2012 on my Win 8 computer, and I've set up the local storage folders just the same as I had on my Win XP machine. Now what's the right way to move or copy my old local storage messages on the XP machine to the new local storage on the Win 8 machine? Can I (or, should I) export the old messages to a thumb drive and then import them on the new machine? Should I remove all the individual folder names (that I just added) from the new WLM? Thanks.
Hi, I have local storage folders in WLM 2011on my Win XP computer. I'm trying to set up the same files on my new Win 8 computer with WLM 2012. In my 2011 version, the local storage folders showed up underneath an "account level" heading of Storage Folders. In 2012 version, when I add a new folder, it shows up under my Hotmail account heading. How do I set up the a new Storage Folder heading that my individual local folders will be listed under? Thanks.
After running system cleanup or registry repair, WLM becomes unavailable and I get "out of memory" or not enough disk space. The fix is usually to unistall and re-install as the repair fucntion is rarely available. Forunately, my contacts, folders and e-mails are not lost. I can determine what is being changed. I tried restoring the registry but that does not work. If you can't solve this would any know of a free program that would track changes?

WLM contacts allows you to give a "county/region" in the address but this is never subsequently shown as part of the address.  Unless I've missed something, this appears to be a mistake in the programming.

To elaborate, in WLM contacts you can edit to incorporate a Street address, City, County/region, Postcode.  But when you view the Contact summary, the County is not shown.  Similarly, if you view the Contacts as a detailed list, you can select columns to include "Home Street Address" and "Home City, County, Postcode".  But the latter column always omits the County, despite specifying it.

This is a small problem but ought to be corrected.  It may have arisen because "County" is a less important part of a postal address in the US than in the UK (where I live).  But it is clear that the County is intended to be used and shown, since it is specifically mentioned in the Column offering.  NB. If you are looking at this in the US, you are unlikely to see the problem, as your addresses will be formatted differently - eg. you will have Zip Code instead of Postal Code, and while you may also be able to record a County, it will not normally be shown in summary since your addresses do not normally include them.

Thanks

I've tried so many different methods that have not worked, but the bottom line is that I only have messages on WLM that go back to 07/31, whereas on my Vista Windows Mail I have hundreds of emails that go back to 2011.  I really need those emails,

And I can find no method for exporting/importing my contacts.

And the 3rd problem is that, although on the W7 PC I went into WLM, options, email accounts, selected Verizon (my email carrier), properties, advanced, and made sure there was a check mark in the box 'Leave a copy of messages on server'..... it made no difference.  The emails exist on my verizon.net account and my WLM mail for only a short time before they disappear from Verizon.  I don't want them to disappear.

Can't someone please help?

Thank you.

WLM was working well but stopped working; so I closed it down and tried to restart it. I received the 0x800C0155 error message.
Rebooted the machine thinking that the process was stuck because 2 were running -  same result
Disabled AV and tried to start WLM - same result
Did sfc /scannow - found no error and same result

Suggestions?

Thx

Original Title: 0x800C0155 error with Live Mail

I have an issue with WLM and the emails it imported from OE6. I have an employee that said her emails were showing the wrong date, it was showing the current date not the actual day she had received it using OE6. I get her another computer to swap with and I moved the whole identities folder so she would have all her old emails on the new machine, a couple of days later she comes telling me its doing it again and also from the day I made the computer swap some emails are missing. I have checked the time zone settings those are correct, I have checked the webmail settings (we use rackspace) the settings are correct there also. I am just at a loss for what is going on and how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated
WLM had an error while attempting to update Calendar.

Since this happened WLM says that I'm offline when I'm not (I have DSL), if I try to sign in it states that either my e-mail address and/or password are incorrect, they are not. WLM has been working fine since 3/2011, when I purchased this computer, until a few hours ago.

I have verified with my server to all e-mail addresses, names, passwords, etc. are correct and they are.

I also went through the procedure of correcting problems with Windows Essentials 2011 and then restarted. This was of no help whatsoever.

So now what do I do?

Thanks! Mary
