When I play the movie that I have saved and sent to a folder, the sound quality is terrible. it seems like there is static and a screeching sound going on all through out the video. What can I do to fix it? When I play the video in windows movie maker there isn't a problem.

When I open Windows Live Movie Maker, there is no preview video.  There is AUDIO (I can hear it) but I cannot see what I'm editing, it's just a black screen.  Please help.

Using Windows 7, and the Movie Maker that came installed (Windows Live Movie Maker).  I used to have video during preview, now there's no video.

Hello,
I hope you can help me.
I am trying to separate the sound from the video. I want to paste a picture over the top of someone talking.
I have copied the audio into the Audio / Music track and muted the original sound - I believe this should work fine.  I can see the wave form in the Audio / Music track but I can't hear anything. I have also tried to play music in the audio / music track but can't hear a thing.
Do you have any suggestions? I am using windows movie maker on Vista.
Thank you.

simply put..... download and install movie maker 2.6 ,   find  movie maker folder for windows XP  copy  the folder....   on win 7 pc navigate to programs x(86) folder  open movie maker 2.6  and paste the movie maker windows XP files over the 2.6 files    choose replace for all.........   then open movie maker 2.6 and congratulations  you now have   movie maker with capture from video device running on win 7....              your welcome          if you don't have an old pc that has win xp   to copy from  search online  or you can always ask me to upload a copy..... also I stumbled across this discovery myself  no one had an answer so I decided to "play around" I noticed old movie maker was 13mb  and 2.6 was 12mb    so I just figured swap files... I really couldn't believe it worked and I've been trying to pass it on for over 3 years.... people complain but don't listen to good advice

I recently built a new computer. It has Windows 7 64bit. I have no doubt that it passes the requirements as i use it for gaming. My problem occurs when trying to install movie maker. It will install between 7-9% and just stay there. I close it after a while with task manager and it says there was a problem. It does not specify what. Any suggestions? I have always used WMM in the past for editing videos for the ease and functionality. Nothing else is really the same for me. HELP :)
