When I try to upload a photo to facebook I cannot sign into my windows live account. I can get into it directly and my outlook.com email works fine. Why won't photo gallery accept the same account info???
Although Photo Gallery is connected to my Microsoft Account, I cannot get it to find my existing SkyDrive albums or create a new one to upload photos. I upgraded from Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 to Windows Photo Gallery 2012 and there was no change in behavior. When I try to upload photos by clicking the SkyDrive icon in Home > Share, the Publish on SkyDrive dialog says: "Sorry, something went wrong and we couldn't get your album list." If I try to create a new album, I get the following error: "A network error has occurred. Please check your network connection and try again."
I have tried signing out and back in to my MS Account - no problems. My SkyDrive is accessible through all other means - web, local sync app, etc. Photo upload has worked flawlessly in the past, but it's been quite a while since I've used it. I assumed something changed on the SkyDrive end, but Photo Gallery 2012 has the same problems as 2011. OS is x64 Win 7 and I've done a repair of .NET Framework 4, installed all the latest updates and rebooted. No luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Is there some way to collapse the subfolders in Windows Live photo gallery all at once? I know you can collapse the top level folder but within it I need to collapse all my many subs at once.

I want to sort my folders by date but with newest to oldest. I have looked all over and cannot figure out a way to do this. Whether in Windows Live Photo Gallery or from my "Explorer" window, my oldest picture folders always come up first and I have to
scroll to the bottom of the list. So for example, I now have to scroll through 4 years worth of picture folders to get to the folder from today.

Can you provide tips for edit like Warhol. Son has a school project and have struggled with Picassa!
Basic question: which of these two programs should I be using as my default to "open anything that this program can open?" I have both of these programs on my laptop, for whatever reason. My "Photo Gallery" is dated 2006 (it came on computer; I have Windows Vista Home Premium) but an update check indicates I am running the latest version and no additional updates are available at this time. (I have automatic updating selected.) My "Windows Live Photo Gallery" is "Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011," copyright 2010. I did not download it intentionally; did I get it when I installed Microsoft Office 2010? I cannot find any way of checking for updates, update history, etc., on this program.
I am only a casual photographer (camera phone), but often get pix from others. Sometimes I get an error saying "Photo Gallery Cannot Open: you don't have the latest updates or file format not supported." I am wondering if this could be rectified, at least sometimes, if I had the "open this picture" process defaulting to the better choice of the two versions of Photo Gallery that I have.
Any comments that would shed light on any of the above, or related matters, would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! (Especially since I see that Windows Live Photo Gallery, in its latest incarnations, is now called just Photo Gallery. Yet my Photo Gallery is older than my Windows live Photo Gallery! So I don't really know which of my two programs is the most up to date, etc.)
