I am running on Windows 7 with Windows Live mail 2012.  I have several email addresses that I cannot get my emails to go through.  I have tried sending emails to these addresses via other email programs (yahoo, charter, outlook express etc) and they all go through.  I have checked with the recipients and they said they are receiving all their other emails. It seems to be a problem only using WLM 2012.   Here is the message I am getting:

This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:

Your message was not delivered because the destination computer was
not reachable within the allowed queue period. The amount of time
a message is queued before it is returned depends on local configura-
tion parameters.

Most likely there is a network problem that prevented delivery, but
it is also possible that the computer is turned off, or does not
have a mail system running right now.

Your message was not delivered within 1 days and 0 hours.
Host xxxxxxxxx.net is not responding.  (host address deleted for privacy)

The following recipients did not receive this message:

I have exported my e-mails folders from Windows Live Mail (in Microsoft Essentials 2012) to Outlook 2010 on my laptop (this was the final stage of a transfer of these folders from Outlook Express on my old PC).

The export of the folders was successful except for one thing.  The display in the 'From' column in Outlook 2010 shows the recipient's chosen display name only.  For example it shows 'Fred Smith' rather than 'Fred Smith<*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>'.   This means that if I try to reply to one of these mails in Outlook 2010 it will not work as 'Fred Smith' is not a valid e-mail address.  The display names and e-mail addresses are both shownd in Windows Live Mail when you open an e-mail there, although the email address is greyed out.   The email addresses in Windows Live Mail currently are not stored as Contacts, so I have not exported Contacts from there to Outlook 2010.

Any thoughts as to how I solve this?  There are a large number of e-mails so I don't really want to have to go and set up Contact details for each e-mail in Windows Live Mail and then transfer them.  Thanks.

Hello,

I'm an old user of Windows Live Mail, I've been using it for as long as I remember. My question is regarding the contacts that have been created through all this years. I still have contacts of the time I was 7! I want to erase them. I tried to follow the advices of "selecting and erasing" and the eliminate button grays out.

Now, something REALLY IMPORTANT TO MENTION: My account is not linked to facebook, nor twitter, nor anything. But the contacts from my account cannot be erased.

I'm attaching an screenshot
 HELP PLEASE!

Several weeks ago I tried to send and receive email in WLM and was unable to do so.  I use Time Warner Cable , Road runner and I contacted them.  They told me I needed to change my server settings to  POP3 110 SMTP 587 .  After some trials and about 40 minutes with them, I started to receive email and thought everything was o.k.  .  Then I tried to send something and received "Server Error 501 Server response 501.5.5.2 Mail From Syntax error Server mail .twc.com  Windows Live Mail error ID:0X800CCC78.  After several more hours(nearly 2 hrs.) with 2 other  TWC people, they determined that it wasn't their problem as the  web mail (roadrunner ) was sending and receiving just fine.  I have even tried installing a different mail program and still cannot send --but receive mail just fine.  The TWC people told me that SMTP 501 error translates into "appears when interscan messaging Security Suite is not working"  I have no idea what that is about.  I've tried several of the ideas talked about here on the community, the last being "repairing all Windows Live programs.  Nothing seems to fix the problem.   Any ideas would surely be appreciated.  I'm using Windows 7 Professional (2011) 64 bit .
thanks in advance,
Mike A.
This started a couple of days ago.  I get a Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E, Socket Error 10060.  Can anybody help me with this?  Thanks!
I have Win7 Home Premium and the Live Mail quit working. I uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Live Essentials 2012. When I click on the icon it will not open the program. I have tried to "repair" in the control panel. It did not make any difference. When I look at the Task Manager wlmail.exe*32 is running under processes but under applications there is no application running. I have also tried to right click and "run as administrator" to no avail. Any idea will be appreciated.

I am also having trouble with windows mail not opening. I click on windows mail and the little blue circle goes round but not opening. I have uninstalled it twice but too no avail. I have also tried the following but no avail

1. Uninstall Windows Essentials using CMD Line Parameter.

2. Delete the Windows Live folders (if any) found on the following directories:

- C:\Program Files\Windows Live

- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live

3. Download Windows Essentials and install.

Split from another thread

Its started a few weeks back where my main hotmail.co.uk account could no longer delete emails when I used Windows Live Mail on any computer. My Newer account on live.com works fine so I haven't a clue why. Its setup via Pop and I've looked in the settings on outlook.com and the Pop settings are still enabled (I've tried turning it off and saving the settings and then on again but nothing).

Any help would be appreciated.

My wife has used Windows Live Mail with her Hotmail account for many years. I used Outlook 2010 with mine. We run two to keep things seperate.

Lately she's lost the ability to delete emails from within the client, and her SENT items folder is not updating. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

She also syncronises the account with an iPhone5s, which I believe now defaults Hotmail to using the IMAP settings at OS level rather than what used to happen - could that be the problem?
