As of yesterday my installation of Windows Live Mail 2012 no longer seems able to synchronise any of my email accounts. I have 3: a POP3 account, an IMAP4 account and a Hotmail account.

Normally if I select Update all I would see a status message at the bottom left, and be able to bring up a dialog box from that to review progress.

However I get nothing. No update status message (and thus no dialog), and no mails get sent or received in any of the accounts. The same thing happens if I select to Send/Receive for each account individually.

In addition, WLM is configured to synchronise a first startup - and in keeping with the above fails to do so.

There are no error messages in any of these scenarios.

I have carried out a clean uninstall of WLM., deleted contents of the store location, reinstalled WLM and recreated the accounts. Upon recreation WLM seems to manage to connect to the accounts and do an initial synchronisation, but subsequent to that no further synchronisations occur (either automatically according to the synchronisation schedule I have set, nor manually - as previously described)

I switched on logging, and noticed the following errors appear in the logfile at WLM startup:

[13:51:58.84] 320c                 Mail:            Zone_MailChk ERROR: (msgtable.cpp:2829), failed with 0x80070057
[13:51:58.84] 320c                 Mail:            Zone_MailChk ERROR: (msgtable.cpp:2829), failed with 0x80070057

[13:51:58.84] 320c                 Mail:            Zone_MailChk ERROR: (msgtable.cpp:2829), failed with 0x80070057

No other errors appear in this initial log file.

Essentially my mail system is now dead, unless you can suggest what may be causing this problem and provide a resolution

Since last week, I'm facing the problem in Windows Live Mail. Problem is that some email folders can't be opened and message appears as : Folder could not be displayed. Windows Live Mail could not open this folder.     Possible causes are:   Low disk space.  Low memory.      How do i solve this problem? Pls. help !
I have a new desktop with Windows 7. I have been trying to use Windows Live Mail (I had it before and it worked fine).

Yesterday, I installed folders under one of my email accounts to hold receipts and product codes:. Inbox drafts, sent delete, codes, receipts.

This morning, not only were my receipts and codes missing, but also all of my sent and delete messages.  Plus, there were over 400 old inbox messages.

What should I do?
I have been using windows live mail for 3 years.  My email account is with earthlink.com.  Everything has been working fine until I got an email from Microsoft security team saying my account has been blocked.  My question how can Microsoft block my account from earthlink.  The message pops as soon as I open windows live mail when I close the message everything works fine.  How do I get ride of this annoying pop window.

I have Windows Live Mail 2012 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. I have my email accounts set up as IMAP. Whenever I read or delete my emails on my phone they don't update to 'read' nor do they delete on Windows Live Mail. I have to go back into mark them as read or delete them manually. I can't seem to find any setting  I need to turn on or off and I thought IMAP would keep the emails synced across devices.

Any ideas?

Comcast mail suddenly stopped appearing in windows mail.  Has been sync for a year.

Why is it that my password works with other Microsoft Products such as Sky Drive but rejects the exact same Microsoft password when entered in to the Sign In box of Windows Live Mail. I have heard there is an issue with some security products however it was only recently I have this problem. I currently  have AVG and Mailwasher Pro, (neither of which have caused any problems previously).

To try and solve the problem I recently installed Microsoft live Mail ( Windows Essentials) , but to NO avail.  Also tried re-entering password and then resetting it upon rejection by Live Mail

The only possibility I can think of is that this has occurred at the same  time as the recent installation of Sky Drive.  Any clues ?

Peter B.
