I am using Windows 7 Pro.  When I try to open emails I get black x''s in black boxes and not much else.  No pictures will show up and sometimes pictures are the main story.  I have search the internet and can't find a way to fix this.  It is quite annoying.  I would hate to think that I would have to buy a email service (Outlook Express) to take care of this.  I hope that Windows 8 doesn't have the problems that I have had with 7.  Help?

I have gone through all that I could find related to this issue but nothing has worked for me. I have used Windows Live mail for several years but this latest update caused Mail and Movie Maker to be removed. Now when I try to install either via the web or offline installer I get the error spelled out in the title.

I cannot enable Firewall due to group policy settings. Any way around this?

I just want mail and movie maker back.

Someone please help.

I have no problems receiving and sending email, but I am unable to log into windows live mail.

I have changed my password, with verifications sent to my email and using a 2-step verification with a text to my cell phone.

The error message I receive is that my email address or password is incorrect.

I have tried several suggestions found on these boards but obviously, none have worked.

With the installation of the latest update on March 6, 2014, to Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3522.0110)) on my Sony Windows 7/64bit computer, the calendar associated with  Live Mail has stopped updating my new calendar entries to calendar.live.com.  Thus the new entries do not show up on my other computers (both Windows 7/64 bit) or on the web version of the calendar, although they remain on the Sony Windows 7 computer.  Conversely, items posted on the other computers or on my Apple mobile devices do post to the web version of the calendar, where they are picked up and update the calendar on the Sony Windows 7 computer (resulting in some double entries).  That is, the Sony Windows 7 computer can read and update from calendar.live.com but can not write to or update calendar.live.com.  Prior to the March 6 update to Live Mail, the calendar worked flawlessly across all devices.

I have use the Control Panel/Programs/Repair function to repair Window Essentials 2012 and have used the Fix It solution at:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2842520

Prior to March 6 I had happily used Windows Live Mail and its predecessors for years without serious incident.  My search of the Microsoft Support and Community sites seems to indicate that problems with Calendar updating have been around for years, with no endorsed solution from Microsoft.

Help!  How do I fix this problem?

Thanks, Ron

For a little over a week now, this is the error code I get when I try to create or reply to an email.

C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\WER79F.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml

  C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\WER1D32.tmp.appcompat.txt

  C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\WER1DFE.tmp.mdmp

Also, when I open my browser I get an error message

"Internet Explorer has stopped working,

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I run Windows 7, with Windows live mail, Cox.net is my provider and is a dedicated internet connection.

I keep getting the same response from the same guy ZigZag3143 (MS - MVP)  "Type "Wlarp" into search (without the quotes of course) then press enter>repair all WLE programs."

I have done this several times now and am not able to resolve the issue. There is no known new programs on my laptop that may have infected it. Everything was fine when I went to bed and not working when I got up in the morning to check my mail. My laptop is powered off when I'm not using it, if that matters.

I hope someone can help,

Thanks in advance for not asking me to try Wlarp again =)

-Bill

Hello,

I've recently begun to get the "Service Error 3204" error in Windows Live Mail when trying to sync my @live.com e-mail. After researching it looks like there is no given solution, that the only real possibility is that it's a back-end issue, so I figured I would post a thread since none of the other ones are recent.

The full text of the error is as follows:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (xxxxx) account.

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

Thanks in advance,

Charlie

I signed in to the website but could not find a "Private Message " to send an email as per the instruction. So I have the same question: How to fix :

Server Error: 4102

Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00001

As I cannot send or receive mail from Windows Live Mail. I have Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 and I'm using Live Mail.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME. I have not been able to use my windows live mail since I tried to combine it with outlook.com almost 4 months ago. I have not been able to read or send any emails. I get a constant error 80048820. I thought the problem was with my 2 yr old Acer computer so I bought another new HP computer and I still have the same problem. I called my provider and they say it is the settings of the email and I have no clue what that means. Some one offered to help ad asked me to sign in a private message but I don't know how to do that either. PLEASE HELP ME, 90% of my use is sending and reading emails. I am lost like this.

After a new hard drive was installed and windows essentials downloaded, line mail will not open to set up. I tried troubleshooting and ended up with 'windows is incompatible'  the download was set to run in XP, I am using windows 7, 64 bit, so I tried changing the set up to windows 7, but the live mail still will not open.

Does anyone have any idea of what to do?
