How can I resolve Windows Live Mail error ID 0x800CCC0F?

I used Windows Live Mail 2012 to import and read all my e-mail.  I have no problem pulling in my e-mail from my Gmail or Hotmail accounts, but several weeks ago I started getting sporadic error messages when it would try to pull in my email from my AT&T/SBCglobal e-mail account.  As of two weeks ago, it will not pull them in at all.  I have no trouble sending e-mail via Window Live Mail for my SBCglobal account, but cannot receive it via Windows Live Mail.  I spent a long time on the phone with AT&T to make sure all the settings are correct, and they said it is definitely not a problem on their end and is instead a problem on the Windows end.  Here is the full error message I receive:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Sbcglobal (e-mail address removed) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

No IMPORT option available for Contacts in Windows Live Mail.

Contacts disappeared from Windows Live Mail 2011, Build 15.4.3555.0308. Found Contacts on hard drive but cannot import into WLM because there is no IMPORT option available for Contacts.

Windows Live Mail 2012 error since 8.1 upgrade

Need help, ever since I had an Micosoft Home Premium Office 2013 failure and had to re-install the software where upon I decided to upgrade to Windows8.1, I can no longer receive emails in my Windows LIVE mail 2012 for a freeserve account. All my setting appear correct, I can send mail no issue on the SMTP address but cannot receive on the Pop3 address details.

I receive the following error

Unable to send or receive messages for the pop.orangehome.co.uk account. An unknown error has occurred.

Port: 110

Secure(SSL): No

Nothing was changed during the office uninstall, we have re-entered the account and password but there is just this error!!!

I've got a new pc with Windows 8.1.  I'm trying to set up Windows Live Mail, mail is arriving but when I try to send a reply I get this error...

TimeWarner Cable says it's something wrong with the way Windows Live Mail is set up... how do I fix it?  Thanks.

Beginning March 16, 2014 - I get a message from Windows Live Mail that they are downloading new messages for my account (thousands of them),  but they do not exist on my Sudden Link Account resulting in error codes - -x800CCC90  and then  0x800420CD.

Can you help me?

Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail

Hi

I just ordered a new computer with Windows 8, and while i am waiting am trying to change this computer's windows xp outlook express to Windows Live Mail.

There are 3 email accounts in Outlook Express and the main account transferred ok, but i am having trouble with the 2nd one. It is not my email account, but was transferred as a sub account into mine. How do i get it out? It won't check for email, says password is incorrect. Haven't tried the 3rd one yet. Thanks

Windows Live mail stopped working

Dear All,

Windows Live mail 2011 (on Windows 7 Ultimate) was working fine for several years and all of a sudden, a few days ago, it just stopped sending and receiving e-mails with no error code. I click send and receive and nothing happens, as if I never pressed it. When I close the program, wlmail is still present in the processes windows in Task manager and I have to end it manually. I finally uninstall it and install Live mail 2012. Everything works fine for two days and I get the same problem all over again. I go to add/remove programs in order to repair or uninstall Windows Essentials but nothing happens. When I click it again I get the message "Please wait until the current problem is finished uninstalling or being repaired".

I would try to uninstall it manually from a command line but I am afraid that there is another problem that I cannot figure out, because crashing after two days does not make any sense.

Could you please give me any advice on what to do because I now have to use other mail clients which I don't really like doing.

Windows Live Mail doesn’t get all my emails, only some

I have recently upgraded to a new PC running Windows 7 64 bit and using WLM to get all my emails now that I can't use Outlook Express. I have used WLM before on a W7 64bit laptop and it's get all my emails fine. WLM on my new PC will only get about half the emails that it are in the email (Orange) account. I have compared the setup details on both computers, and as far as I can see they are identical. Can any body suggest what the problem might be, it can't be the PC, can it................? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I get so fed up, I  reinstall XP to use OE. Thanks.

My WLM 2012 stopped working. I got an error message at first (0x8007000E). Then I uninstalled WE 2012 and reinstalled it. My email still does not work. Upon further investigation fix it said I have a compatibility problem. Any ideas?
