I am using Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail.  I have one friend who recently had his work address changed to a "mail.mil" address.  Each time I include his email address in an email, I get an error "The message could not be sent.  Some of the recipients for this message are not valid.  Please verify the names"  I have deleted and reentered the email address several times with no change.  When using Outlook from my "My MSN" page, the address works fine.  Any ideas how to fix this on Windows Live Mail?
My Windows Live Mail stopped sending emails that are very time sensitive.  I worked at length with my ISP techs and they were unable to get a resolution.

My windows Live mail has now stopped receiving any email updates from the server.  I have sent 'test' messages from my email account to myself and they arrive shortly after on my iphone email inbox but they do NOT arrive in my desktop email inbox.  When I hit 'send/receive' on my desktop email, I receive errors such as:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Shaw (mwdouglas) account. Windows Live Mail couldn't log on to the email server using secure password authentication. Contact your email provider and verify that it supports secure password authentication. To change this logon setting, in the folder list, right-click on the account name, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu. In the Properties dialog, click the Servers tab, and then under Incoming Mail Server, select a logon option.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90

Server Response: -ERR invalid command

Server: 'shawmail.cg.shawcable.net'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC18

Protocol: POP3

Port: 110

Secure(SSL): No

My desktop Windows Live Mail has ceased to update receiving any emails and more often than not, when I click on 'send/receive', it will start and then say 'windows live mail has stopped responding'.

I am in urgent need of my Windows Live Mail working reliably and properly immediately.

Please help!

I have a new HP computer and downloaded 2012 Windows Essentials to only use Windows Live Mail.  I cannot delete "junk mail" in the junk mail folder.  What is wrong, and how do I fix it?  Franlyn

I can receive messages fine but when I try to send or reply the screen goes hazy and then I get an error message that Windows Mail has encountered a problem and is closing down. A solution is sought by Windows but then it closes and re-opens.

This has just happened to me in the last 24 hours. How can I fix it please ?

Hello, I am not very computer literate to begin with.  I need to delete and change some email addresses in my Windows Live Mail but I cannot find where the list is.  I have noticed at the bottom left hand side there is a list which states contacts but when I click on this there is just an empty screen.  Where can I find my list?

Thank you

I am using Windows 8 and Windows Live Mail 2012. Files I am sending as word docs are being received as winmail dat files. Solutions posted appear to be for Outlook users as I cannot find the tabs they speak of. Can someone please assist?
I am using Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 8.  When my Message List is in Two Line View, I cannot see both lines.  The subject line (the top line in the larger font) is partially obscured where I only see half of the character.  Please help.

I have had ongoing issues with Windows Live Mail and Outlook 2013 crashing whenever there is a Windows update, but today while performing what is now my tri-weekly online repair of Office 365, WLM will not allow me to create new mail or reply to existing email. The application opens, downloads mail and allows me to open said mail, but when I try to create a new mail message I get the message: "A problem occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again" I have searched the online forums and tried all solutions to no avail.

I have tried:

1. repairing the installation

2.uninstalling and removing all traces of WLM including registry entries, then reinstalling

3. exporting emails, deleting the account and creating a new account and importing the emails back again

4. a clean boot

I have an ASUS S550CM running Windows 8.1 and there are no viruses or malware. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office and Windows Live Mail so many times. I have wasted so much time on this, and having already performed several restorations and re-installations of Windows, am reluctant to do it again. I would use the Windows 8 Mail app except from what I understand, it will not work with POP3 accounts and I cannot import email from WLM.

ATM, I feel like I have bought into an endless cycle of software problems, technical support desks, and online forums by buying a Windows 8 machine. Is there any relief in sight?
