Windows Live Mail - reading pane not displaying any emails and "A problem occurred while trying to open this message" if you try to doubleclick.

This is an intermittent problem - and I've made sure the software is up-to-date and repaired it, but no joy.  If I restart the computer it sometimes works after that.  Sometimes not.  Help please!  Thanks.

Gateway FX6840, Window 7 Home Premium 64 Bit System.

Quite often when typing a new message/reply in Windows Live Mail, certain keystrokes cause an unexpected reaction, taking me to another screen. It is like there are shortcut keys active.

The most frequent occurrence is with the letter "e".

After closing the other screen, it often will then continue with normal typing.

The problem is not consistent however. Sometimes a complete message/reply can be composed without this happening. At other times the unwanted reaction occurs with each keystroke of the particular letter involved.

Looking for advice on how I can eliminate the problem.

--> 1  All the folders & emails are still in my email on my phone... I have the names of the folders. I have not synced my phone, as I am afraid that I will then lose those folders again. I would appreciate help with this matter, as there are important emails I need, for reimbursement, (over $200), amoung other issues, topics, & concerns.

Should I forward all the emails from the phone to my other email account & then forward them again back to LIVE MAIL?

Thank you!

I am having trouble using windows live mail.  the problem is that when trying to compose new message it indicate " A problem has occurred while trying to open this message

"

I followed a lot of suggestion from this site and other none helped.

I decided to completely uninstall windows essential 2011 ( including all email and account information).

then re installed the software. even before setting account information, trying to compose a message responded with the same problem message.

Help, needed.

Thanks

Using gmail imap - love their huge cloud storage

And if the email is sent from iPhone using their native mail app it does show the BCC recipients in the copy of sent mail!

In the old days you could find them by using properties of the message as I recall

I used outlook express years ago but never liked outlook or pop mail

Thank you

I have been running Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 for some time now and all has been well, over the last week I have been able to log on and receive mail

but not send it, I keep getting the following message

(Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

 Subject ''
Server: 'smtp.talktalk.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Socket Error: 10053)

But I am using the Laptop daily and am connected to the internet as I can receive mail and Log onto Google all the time.

An E-mail address direct to support would also help.

Could anyone assist Please.

Hi I can't open or send any emails from my windows live mail.  They are all down loading but when I click on them it says a problem has occured please try again.  I need to know how to fix this as the emails I access through here are for business.

Thanks for your help!

I have Windows 8.1 and hate the mail app.  I finally got the Outlook.com/Hotmail.com/Live.com web mail configured to get all of my e mail in one place, but I find the web mail very disappointing after being used to the Windows Live Mail program that I had on my Vista Laptop.  I downloaded Windows Live Essentials expecting to get the Windows Live Mail that I knew and loved, but found that it was not the same.

Is there a way to get the older version of Windows Live Mail that will work on my Windows 8.1 OS??

Hello,
