I see that the Ribbon can be minimized in Windows Live Mail 2012.  Is it possible to hide or minimize the Quick Access Toolbar?

Now 4 times in a few weeks  Live Mail can not be startet. After a repair my maps has disappeared but is restored  in random order. Some of them are empty, others  can be read. All mails on the server are then reinstalled . I have scanned my PC by Norton 360 and now virus etc are found.

What can I do?  Delete the program and reinstall? What will happen to my mail's?

Please help.

Windows 7 platform

Windows Live Mail 2012

I have reinstalled the program and restarted.

I have put in my passwords.

I can sync the email addresses I have, but I cannot send any emails without crashing the program.

This has been an issue for about 2 days.

I have not downloaded any new programs.

A couple of days ago several of the pc's in our office suddenly lost their ability to open PDF files from Windows Live Mail.

The pc's open pdf's just fine anywhere else but through the mail application.  I've tried repairing and reinstalling both Windows Live Mail 2011 and 2012 and they both have the exact same problem.

I've also tried removing and reinstalling Adobe Reader, and I also tried to use another pdf program, Fox It Reader and that didn't work either.

I also tried to change the user to an administrator just in case being a standard user was causing the issue, that didnt work either.

I am so frustrated and am at a loss.

Is it perhaps a Windows update that may have caused this to stop working?  It's unacceptable, a person has GOT to be able to open a pdf for crying out loud.

Someone mentioned something about missing dll's on another post about a year ago, I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and if they were able to fix it?  Was it the cause?

Hi,

I sent a group email (110 addresses) with Windows Live Mail and got this error message

----------------------------------------------------

An unknown error has occurred

Subjekt: ............

Server "smtp.gmail.com"

Windows Live MaIl error_ID: 0x800CCC0B

Protokol: SMTP

Port. 587

Secure (SSL): Yes

-------------------------------------------------------------

To find out the problem I, among many other things, checked the email addresses in the mail. Found that many of them are damaged. Must have occurred when I previously changed from Windows Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail.

Now I can not send any single email att all !! The first error message appears every time.

Can not find the email that caused the problem anywhere, so I can´t remove it….

No problems receiving mail.

I have checked all my settings, they seem to be ok.

Does anyone have any ideas..... ?

After I reinstalled WLMail2011 and upgraded to WLMail2012; and after a techy made a Windows clean install...I still get some annoying glitches. Could someone help please?:

1. No auto-complete function.

2. The undo function from the little “Undo” arrow doesn’t work!

3. There’s nothing ever in the “Junk” folders. Only the ones I send to them. How to train it to dump the spam?

4. Files in Sent and in Inbox arrive in multiple sub-files i.e.: each time there’s an answer it lands under the original name of file. How can I have it as before, one by one where sent files go to the Sent folder and not to the Inbox. Confusing!!!

5. The triple clicking to highlight 2 or more lines or paragraph....doesn't do it.

Thanks ever so much for any ideas to fix these.    Leidirosa

P.S.  Not sure what forums this is - is it for Windows?  If so, should I also post this question in the WLMail forum?  May I have the link please?  Thanks.

Black Bars - Happens everyday. Program needs to be shut down and restarted.

What can I do to fix the problem?

Hi,

I use Windows 8 and Windows Live Mail. I have never had any problems until now - when I just sent the Group mail. I have mailed this Group several times before, but then with Outlook Express. There have always been problems sending to this group, I always got error messages at certain addresses. When I have removed them, the mail has went away. So this first time with Windows Live I was a little anxious about how it would go....

... I got this error message:

-----------------------------------------------------

An unknown error has occurred

Subjekt: The heading in the mail

Server "smtp.gmail.com"

Windows Live MaIl error_ID: 0x800CCC0B

Protokol: SMTP

Port. 587

Secure (SSL): Yes

-------------------------------------------------------------

The mail is not in any boxes like Outbox, Sent items etc, I can just not find it !

When I send new, other messages, always the first error message show up again. It blocks the ability to send other email !!

No problems receiving mail

I have checked all my settings, they seem to be ok.

Does anyone have any ideas..... ?

Best Regards

Bo
