I use to use spell check in Hotmail and doesn't show up after up dating to explorer 10. Spell check does show up in windows live mail.
Please advise.

I am having this same problem but have tried your suggestions of changing port 25 and get this message:Please use the instructions on this page to apply Comcast's recommended settings: To reconfigure your Windows Live Mail client to use SSL instead of port 25
Having done so, click Work offline and remove any unsent messages from the outbox (below the account folders in the folder pane). Then close down WLMail and wait a few minutes before re-launching. Compose a new test message and send it to yourself. Post any new error message in your reply.

I am using Windows Live Mail 2012 and Windows 7. Several months ago I was notified and tried to change ports but it didn't work and I set things back to defaults, including port 25. It has worked fine until yesterday when my outgoing stopped working.
I receive e-mail and it only works if I use port 110 not secure. It does not work using 995 secure.

I've used Windows Live mail successfully for a couple of years, but now all of a sudden I get an error message when I try to send mail. I can receive messages. I've done a system restore but that's no help. The messages just sit in my outbox. I can
go to mail online and send messages from there.

When sending emails via Live Mail in another language then English, the spellchecker underlines anything then English words.
It also asks after send, to change every underlined word one by one.
I can only receive but not send e-mail via Windows Live Mail to my comcast account. What happened? Everything works fine from the Comcast website. Comcast tells me that this is a problem on Microsoft's end. I have been away from this windows 7 computer
for a while, but everything had been working fine when I left.
When I compose an email message in Windows Live Mail, I used to be able to choose font, font size, underline, bold, etc. Now that feature is gone, and I can't figure out how to get it back. Please help.
