Original title: need windows live mail

Where can I download Windows Live Mail? All links seem to lead back to Windows Essentials support page.

Three times now, per instructions from this very helpful group, I have downloaded Windows Essential with end goal being to use outlook.com as my email default. Three times Windows Essentials has not downloaded properly. Two times, W??.dll was missing; error message to download again. This last time, the error message was U??.dll is missing, download again.

Additionally, Windows Live Mail will _not_ show in the default choices, nor will Windows Essentials. Neither program is found in Control Panel nor in Revo uninstaller.

Is there any hope, anything additional I might do in order to use outlook.com as default email?

Win7, 64 bit, Office 2010

Thanks so much for any additional help.

Running under Windows 7. I can create a new email & add a new contact but have no other access. I've tried to repair Windows Live Essentials & tried a system restore from a point before the problem. No luck with that. It has been suggested to re-install Windows Live Mail but how to save my contacts & local folders?

Hi

Does anyone know how to perform the following actions in Windows Live Mail. If they can indeed be performed.

1. Make the Send/Receive button actually send/retrieve with one press instead of opening a menu with all email accounts listed, and having to press ALL

2. Reduce the SIZE of the ribbon buttons and/or eliminate text.

3. Disappear the listed email accounts and keep just the one display of all messages, all sent, all deleted.

thanks

In windows live mail, my ribbon bar disappears in my inbox causing difficulty deleting emails. I have to click on home to get the ribbon bar back each time. It is slow and tedious.  This change just happened this week. Have there been changes in the program?

Windows 7. Been using Live Mail for 12 months no problems with access.  Recently (4-5 days) was prompted to restart computer to install updates. Since then when starting Windows Live Mail (computer already on line with network) instead of live mail connecting to selected email acct a page appears "you are currently working off line- do you want to go on line now?  Yes/No "  Clicking "Yes" immediately brings up a repeat of that page.  Clicking Yes again does same again. Clicking yes again brings up the query "there was an error when attempting to connect to Windows Live Calendar Service.  Also a "go on line" icon has appeared on the taskbar since the "update".  Clicking it does nothing or brings up the same quesry as reported.  I have reloaded email account info, passwords etc but no good result.  Can't get in to get emails - currently using webmail for that!

Original title: Can not send or print

I can receive Windows Live mail but can not forward it, print it or initiate a new message. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it twice and that did not fix the problem "A problem occurred while trying to open this message" is what I get when I try to initiate any of the functions.

I'm having trouble sending email today, using windows 7, live mail. I have verified correct server settings with my provider. I can send using this provider on my other laptop which uses Windows XP. This just came up today with Unknown Server Error 421. Thanks!

Les

I signed in on outlook.com.  I was just checking it out.  Now I find that I am checked out from Windows Live Mail.  Each time I bring up Windows Live Mail the “Sign in to Window Live Mail” window comes up and it will not accept my Microsoft password. I have tried everything I can think of.   It appears to be an error.  If I delete the window I can then use Windows Live Mail with no problem.   How do I correct the situation and check in to my Windows Live Mail?
