My profile on Windows 7 crashed and I created a new profile. I was using Windows Live Mail and had to reinstall the same on the new profile. I copied the storage folder (alongwith subfolders) from the old location C:\Users\<login name>AppData\Local\Microsoft\ and put it under the same path in the new login name but it does not shw up once I open Windows Live Mail.

Original Titile: Windows Live Mail

Every time I open my Windows Live Mail program it defaults to being "offline" and irrespective of taking action each time to go "online" it will not download any emails.  Can you please tell me what to do to correct this problem.

Has anyone ever had an issue with Windows Live, OK it's not a joke, but each time I send out an email, a window opens telling me that "Windows Live Mail" has unexpectedly closed and Window is Restarting anew.  When the open comes up again, the sent mail is listed in the Sent Folder but I'm never sure if it got out since there doesn't seem to have had enough time to do anything.

Needless to say, this is very frustrating.  I've reloaded Windows Live several times but it doesn't seem that it corrects the problem.  Doesn anyone have any ideas what causing this issue and how you were able to correct it, if you did.

Looking forward to some real insights and thanks for all the help.
Mike

I backed up Outlook Express 6 to an external hard drive from my XP SP3 computer. Upgraded it to Windows 7 and installed Windows Live Mail. I've followed all the instructions to import storage folders from OE6 to Windows live mail. It appears to proceed and the imported folder is visible in the WLM storage folder.  There are now 2 of these but both report no items to view. (The backup folder on the external HDD has 19.5 MB saved folder plus the "FOLDERS.DBX") What is going wrong?
I have several email addresses grouped under Windows Live Mail.  From Windows Live Mail, none of them are able to send or receive email.  A message box informs me that "you are currently working offline.  Would you like to go online now ?"  When I indicate "yes" I am still unable to "go online".  If I navigate to each individual account separately, I get send and receive email.  But, since I have 7 or 8 accounts grouped under Windows Live mail, it sure would be nice to get to my mail from there ?  Any help would be appreciated.

Original title: Cox has told me that my Windows Live Mail is corrupted !

I am having a problem with my Windows Live Mail.  When I look for replies to "some" emails that I have sent.... there are none.  And these people are all on my contact list and they have been sent a message from my Windows Live Mail.  But if I go online to my Cox Webmail the emails are there!  Although most of my emails are forwarded to my Live account........... not all of them are always there.  So I contacted Cox and they told me that my Windows Live was corrupted.  I have no idea what to do!  If I un-install Windows Live and re-install it will I lose everything?  All of my groups and contacts and such?  And will that even correct the corruption?  I have the Cox Webmail configured to forward all of my emails to my Windows Live but not all of them ever get there.  Please tell me what to do.  I am missing important emails every day! Thank you! Cyndi
