Hey, I try to configure my new laptop (Windows 8). On my old one I used Windows Live Mail and had no problems with this program. So I want this on my new one, too. But every time I want to install it I get the message: OnCatalogResult 0x80280007 and I have to uninstall the later version.
At first I tried "Uninstall a program". After removing every data connected with Windows Live I tried to install it again. Same message. I went through my folders and delete that one with the name "Windows Live". And again same message. I have no idea where can be more data.
After that I decided to install the newest Windows Live Mail via Windows Live Essential. But when I had to choose which program I want to install I could only choose update your WLM.

What can I do, to get WLM 2009 on my computer? Please help me.

For the past several weeks when I have received email messages from a certain address and tried to open them, I have consistently had Windows Live Mail cease working.  I then must restart the mail program.  If I again try to open or even preview the message, the program again stops working.   am using Windows Live Mail on an HP laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. Do you know if there is a possible change in my settings that could preclude this problem?

Original Title: Windows Live Mail - E-Mail names are dropped from Categories usually withing 1 or 2 days

I have set up a Category in Windows Live Mail in order to send to a group of people.  It usually works right away, but after a few days, or even less, when I send again, only a few people on the list receive the e-mail.  The Names in my Category indicate 38, but only 5 or 6 receive it and my e-mail Sent Window indicates that only 5 or 6 being sent to.  When I look at my Contact List and look at the Category, it still shows the 38 names.

I removed Java because of security issues.  Recently opened a WLM account and have recurring problems -  both with Hotmail and Gmail (added).  Was just wondering if the errors might be due to lack of Java program?  List of errors (my email address x'd out for security here):

1.  Windows Live Mail cannot connect to the Internet, possibly because an antivirus or firewall program won't allow it. Make sure any antivirus or firewall programs on your computer allow Windows Live Mail (wlmail.exe) to access the Internet.

At times the program works perfectly.  Then I get these messages above, sometimes with the triangular exclamation point where the progress is being shown (bottom right corner)

I'm trying very hard to "wean" myself from Yahoo! on the advise of my local computer tech who's concerned with hijacking, etc.  It has its problems, too, but not nearly as frequently as this WLM account.  I'd appreciate any help with  a resolution.  Thanks.

OS: Windows XP SP3. Email Client: Windows Live Mail 2009 (Build 14.0.8117.0146). OS and email client are up to date, according to Window Update.

Issues:
1. Fails to auto correct while typing.
Tools-->Options-->Spelling Tab--->Automatically correct common capitalization and spelling errors is checked while Always check spelling before sending was unchecked.

2. The spell check on this document was halted. Do want to send it anyway?
Settings on the Spelling Tab:
Always check spelling before sending;
Check spelling as I type (this feature works correctly);
English-US is Installed.

I read that you should choose between "Automatically correct common capitalization and spelling errors"
AND "Always check spelling before sending" as they do not work at the same time. Checking individually has not made a difference even restarting PC after change.

We have an  a few computers running the same OS and client as indicated above with the same issue.

Please respond if you have a resolution or even an idea of how to resolve this issue.

Thank You.
