Hi All!

Previously, we have tried sharing the storage folder of Windows Live Mail 2011 from User Profile A (original owner of the e-mail) to User Profile B (newly created common Windows user account for viewing the e-mail of User Profile A) in a Windows 7 32-bit environment. The reason why we made another User Profile is because we want to avoid using the account of User Profile A to log in just to check up on e-mails so we decided to create a new Windows user account and share the storage folder of Windows Live mail from User Profile A.

We were able to make them view the same messages that User Profile A originally receives since they are sharing the same storage folder. The problem is that Windows Live Mail always asks for the password of the e-mail account every time User Profile B logs in open Windows Live Mail and after logging out and User Profile A start to log back in again and opens Windows Live Mail, it will ask for the password again.

According to ¡Firedog "Sharing a store folder between Windows users won't really work, because the program is designed as a strictly per-user application. In particular, passwords are encrypted using a key based on the user profile, so switching user account will switch key and the password won't work."

I want to know if it is possible to setup the same e-mail information in Windows Live Mail under two different user profile having two different storage folders but they will still be able to receive the same messages since they have the same e-mail address and that they only have different storage folders. I just need the confirmation.

Thank you very much!
I was using Windows Live Mail and I accidentally clicked the 'work offline' button within Home Tab on Windows Live Mail.
Then I clicked it again to try to Go online but kept offline.

I'm using: Windows 7 SP 1
Windows Live Mail 2011 v. 15.4.3555.0308
Internet Explorer 10

Thanks in advanced

Juanjo

Hi

For the past 5 days I have been unable to send or receive messages using Windows Live for both the 2 hotmail accounts I have connected with it.
However I am able to check my email on my phone.

This is the error I get on Windows Live.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (XXXXX) account.

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

Please advise. Thank you

Yesterday afternoon for no apparent reason I received an error while attempting to send/receive my mail with Windows Live Mail.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (d*****1) account.

Server Error: 0x800488EB
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB

After attempting to reset passwords, router, modem, then deleting and remaking the account in WLM, I still receive the same error.

As a side note I do not have any firewalls active nor any email in my outbox.

any advice?
There are several hundred Windows Live Mail emails in a dead computer. I can read the hard drive by putting it into an external USB enclosure. Is there some tool that will go in there & import into Windows 8 Outlook.com?
