I have setup an OUTLOOK.COM email account

I previously used Windows Live Mail installed on my laptop

I started to upload my emails from Windows Live Mail to Outlook.com

Nearly all of my inbox uploaded successfully but none on my SENT emails uploaded and some Inbox emails also failed to upload.

I get the message below.

Every time I "Try Again" I get the same results

I can send and receive emails using the Outlook.com account without problem.

Any ideas?

Joe

It was working fine but then it stopped after some Microsoft updates. I've called Dell & Verizon and they both say it's a Microsoft "patch" issue. I've verified all the settings and they are correct. The "requires server authentication" box is checked also. I can receive emails just fine. When I finish an email and go to send it, it just sits in the outbox. If I click on the outbox and hit the "send/receive" button, it will send it but I shouldn't have to do that. Verizon is my email provider, btw...
I noticed today that a contact who I frequently mail had apparently disappeared from my Contacts list in Windows Live Mail.
On checking further, I see I am being presented with an old version of my contacts list - it contains names and addresses I had removed at least six months ago, and does not contain at least 20 contacts I have added over recent months.
Oddly, when I look on my iPad, the contacts list is the correct, most recent version.
I am the only user of my PC and have not modified any settings or knowingly applied any updates in recent weeks.
Once again: ERROR messages, and outgoing mail is blocked--incoming uncertain!
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92 ; and Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F .
But I also have Server Errors:"Incorrect username or password (#MBR1212)", and (lower down the screen "Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (****) account... Could not download new message from the IMAP server."
Perhaps an error is due to the (British BT) system--and I'll take it up with them.  But my WLM has worked very well for months.

(Is WLM on the way out?  Are we expected to switch to Outlook?)
Just suddenly I can't sign into my email account. I use Windows Live Mail by default and it's always signed me in automatically but now it's asking for User Name and Password. When I enter those nothing happens, only the login window will go away for a second then return. I also get this error message -

'Unable to send or receive messages for the Virgin (darrenj.campbell) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.
Server: 'pop3.virginmedia.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes'

I then tried signing into the email account using Outlook and apparently there was suspicious activity so they need me to verify it, so they sent a verification email to the address that I CAN'T ACCESS.

Can't they send the verification email to an alternative email address of mine?

Sorry, earlier I posted a question re-Request a Read Receipt which I got the answer from prior Replies.  Okay, it is not available in Outlook (that's terrible!), but have to go through Windows Live Mail.  So I did try to test it in Windows Live Mail and put the Check Mark on the Read Receipt.  After the recipient read it, I got no notification as being Read.

Per Reply from ZigZag3143, the Wiki Author Community Moderator:

Step 5.  Under Returning Read Receipts, click the radio button:  Notify me for each read receipt request if you want to return read receipts.

Now, where is this 'radio button' you are referring to on Step 5 above?

Thanks.

Joyful Me

In Windows Live Mail, when I try to create a new mail message, I get - "A problem occurred while trying to open this message".  I can open and view existing message in my Inbox or other folder, but I can't create a new message.

I tried repairing Windows Live Essentials, it didn't solve the problem.

I tried running esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Mail.MSMessageStore", per http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/answers?tId=067c1e2c-36f7-4db9-a834-1761c0cff411

but got:

"Operation terminated with error -550 <JET_errDatabaseDirtyShutdown, Database was not shutdown cleanly.  Recovery must first be run to properly complete database operations for the previous shutdown.> after 0.125 seconds"

I searched on various combinations of "how do I run recovery on Microsoft live mail database" and couldn't find anything.

So how do I run 'recovery' on the database?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi. I need to export roughly 1500 emails from my Outlook.com account onto a USB memory stick or hard drive. Can't seem to find a way to do it. Tried using Windows Live Mail but can only export one at a time that way. Any ideas?
