I want to use the Windows Live Mail program to work within multiple email accounts (2). When I try to sign in to Windows Live Mail program on my computer, the prompt says my email or password are incorrect. They are both correct, so I'm completely frustrated. I have changed the password several times, in order to make sure it's not that I'm forgetting my password, but I still get the error message "The email address or password is incorrect. Please try again." I have tried everything... and am about to lose patience. Please help. Thank you.

Hi There.

I have been having an issue recently when sending out emails containing invoices (.pdf attachments) to our clients. They all use WIndows Live Mail as their default email client and have various accounts, although most are with BT Internet.

The issue we they have been having is that for some unknown reason, when we send out an email containing their invoice, it arrives in their inbox in Windows Live Mail without the attachment included. Yet, if they log into their same account via BT webmail - the attachment is there!

The email is sent out via outlook and most clients report no problems receiving the emails or attachments - except those using Windows Live Mail.

This has ben an on-going issue for sometime now and we really do need a solution.

Many thanks,

Scott.

Every time I click on "contacts" in Windows Live Mail, the program freezes and I have to close it. There have been a few times I had to manually power down the system and reboot. Can anyone help me with this? I am running Windows 7.

I am preparing to back-up my hard-drive as a precaution to WIndows 8.1 upgrade (from Windows 8.0). I would like to back up my various Windows Live Mail "Storage Folders". I do not believe WIndows 8.0 File History protects this data and Windows 8.1 upgrade may delete them.

There is plenty of information on this site on how to export and import contacts and email for Windows Live Mail desktop client but the instructions for back up and recovery (if needed) of email "storage folders" is not clear.  If I go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail.....do I copy to an external drive the entire "Windows Live Mail Folder" or just the folder named "Storage Folder" ? Once I have done this, what do I need to do if I need to recover them after the windows 8.1 upgrade ? Thanks for you help.

Good day, I have Windows 8 and have loaded Windows Essential 2012, many times, in order to use Windows Live Mail. Have two accounts on it. Both of which do not retain any sent messages....have tried reinstalling, but no effect. Kindly advise what to do to get this programme operating correctly.

Also there is no Tool Bar shown...where is it hiding??

Thanking you................Brian

I have had a Dell XPS 14Z PC for a year.  It was preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system which included Windows Live Mail.  I imported my Telstra Bigpond and Hotmail email accounts onto WLM.  Until this morning I was always able to open WLM from the icon, but today it will not get past the WLM loading graphic which says 'Starting...' and has a small blue ring continually rotating.  If I click on the icon on the task bar or Start menu I can still open and send a new email, event or contact and it also tells me when I have a new message but I cannot get into the actual program to view emails, contacts, events.  I do not want to lose the contents of my Inbox, sent emails or list of contacts.  I use WLM every day.  I have tried the repair Windows Essentials option but to no avail.  I have also gone to Task Manager to delete the wlm process and restarted but this makes no difference.  I am reluctant to uninstall/install WLM as I do not want to lose any information held.  Can someone please help? Thanks.
