Can’t log in to Windows Live account

31. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: windows live account
Hello there,

I'm writing on behalf of my sister, who reported she's not able to log in to her Windows Live account. She enters the log in information, and when she tries to log in - she's redirected to the login site without any feedback, just like she would refresh the site.
Changing password is reporting "Unavailable", creating new account is also impossible.
It is not a computer-based problem (has been verified for her account on several devices and web browsers and e-mail clients), nor password issue.
Should any detailed information be needed - please leave a comment and a way to post it to you privately :).

Thanks in advance,
MB

Unable to accept terms of use

Iv contacted xbox live support, the advisor has advised me to post a question on this forum. Basically he has explained to me that my parents windows live account is the primary account on my xbox live profile but doesnt have a linked a gamertag, which he explained to be a ' MICROSOFT PROBLEM '. No one uses this email address and hasnt been used for a long time which has resulted in the loss of information needed for me to accept the terms of service.

I am 21 years old now and have my personal billing details associated with my xbox live account and i am also PAYING FOR A SERVICE I CANNOT USE !! yet i cannot access that account, because of a so called 'parental lock' preventing me from signing in !!!

I want this issue resolved ASAP as a matter of urgency !!!

Hi, Since yesterday I have been able to sign into my windows live account but have not been able to access my email. I get the following message every time.

Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now
If you continue to have this problem, please report it to Microsoft.pROB

I have tried the following but nothing has helped:

 - clearing cache etc
 - different browsers
 - different devices including mobile
 - different OS's

Any ideas what the issue is?

Thanks for your help.

Cannot add domain to windows live account

When I try to add a domain I own to my windows live account I get the following error:

This domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language. Please contact support if you feel this is not the case.

I have noticed other users also posting similar questions to the community - from my initial testing the keyword 'CREDIT' seems to be triggering it.

Please advise.

How do I stop an alias/linked email account forwarding messages on to my main Windows Live account? I keep getting emails twice, once in my linked, then again in my main!

11. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: livemail · Tags: googlemail, windows live account

Back when Hotmail changed I moved my Hotmail account to Windows Live,  which I love.  I had my Googlemail account linked to my Hotmail, and so now in Windows Live I have both in the left hand pane - great.  However, since moving to Windows Live, every time I get an email to my linked Googlemail account, it then forwards it to my Hotmail, meaning I'm constantly getting two notifications for each mail! I want to stop the 'email forwarding' while keeping my Googlemail linked, so I only get one notification for each Googlemail email, rather than one after the other.  I've checked my actual Googlemail account and I have no email forwarding set up.

Please could someone help!?

Transfer domains owner to other live-account

Hello there,

For http://domains.live.com, I have set up a domains (vogelsap.com) on my own live-account, so that we could make use of windows live services but also mail.
However I'm currently not the person anymore in charge for maintain the domains-part and I was wondering if there is a way to transfer the Admin to another windows live account, so someone else in the team is in charge of the admin part, without losing all the data etc...

Greets,

Jayce R.

Can send but not receive email in windows live mail

09. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: Online Safety Team, windows live account, Windows Live Mail

Up until Oct. 1st I was able to send and receive emails in my windows live account.  Now I can only send from this account and this error message comes up every time:

Unable to receive messages for the philsp account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR invalid user name or password.
Server: 'pop.cox.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

I have read the other posts, tried all of the suggested things, checking the correct settings, clicking on the right boxes, even speaking with my internet provider who checked everything on their end (which there is nothing wrong with my provider as I can both send and receive my email through them).  I have deleted the account and added it back to no avail.  I have yet to see anything on the forums that has worked.  I spoke to Microsoft twice and went through 3 different email correspondences, and their solution was for me to post my problem to a forum.  This was the response I got all three times:

Hello,

I was able to verify that your account does not exist on our database. For us to be able to fully assist you and to help us determine the exact nature of your concern, can you please verify the email address you had provided. We do apologize for any inconvenience. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for contacting Online Safety Team.

Sincerely,

Ela
Online Safety Team

After repeatedly telling them that the only email address I have ever used is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** , which I am still using to send emails, I am not sure how they cannot have my email address in their database - especially since I've been using the same email address with windows live mail for the past ten years.

If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it.

Can not add alias

07. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: windows live account
Hello,

I am having problems adding an alias to my windows live account.  I had two accounts but did not need the newest one as my original is my most used one. I then deleted this new one. The email for the account is something i still use on a regular basis and so i wanted to add that as an alias to my windows live account. However it comes up with an error message that says "This email address is already taken. Please try another." I don't understand this as I have deleted all record for that live account and no longer have any access to it. the only other place i have it listed is a security email. It would really be beneficial for me to have this email as a full alias though. How can i get it on there as it is my email and not taken?

My windows live account that is synched to my desktop will not recieve emails, send them or work with my outlook account.

My windows live account came with my laptop, and worked flawlessly with Hotmail. Now, I can't send emails from it, receive them, and any old emails saved solely to that system won't open. Any ideas on what to do?
Thank you.
