Outlook keeps hanging up on a sync services problem and email downloads are slow!

i installed office 2011 on my wife's mac. it keeps hanging up some sync services problem and email downloads are mind numbingly slow. she's happy with entourage so i want to remove outlook. how do i uninstall outlook?
