Just Received Message Regarding Messenger & Skype

I find it interesting that I receive a message about Hotmail Messenger (which I do not use ever) "upgrading" to Skype. Now, there are numerous methods offered about how and when to "upgrade." What about those of us who want nothing to do with Skype or any other type of webcam? Why are these kinds of things being shoved down our throats the way Facebook is? I do not have a Facebook account, and I don't want one. Nor do I want Skype or any other type of webcam/videocam.

 

Some of us just have no desire or need for it.

Bonjour,

 

Depuis le basculement de Messenger vers Skype, je ne peux plus me connecter à mon compte Messenger Skype !  ???  Un message d'alerte me signale la phrase suivante : " Désolé, vous ne pouvez pas vous connecter à votre compte".    Que dois je faire ???  car je n'ai plus accès à l'ancienne version de Messenger sur lequel j'aurai pu accéder à mon compte.

I want to get a notification in skype when an email is received in my hotmail account. I got this behavior when I was ussing messenger. When I update messenger to Skype Messenger was uninstalled and I do not have the same behavior with Skype.

I have uploaded  skype  and  computer instructed  and  nor  Messanger chat is somewhere as people can see me  and  chat,  but i can not .  this  happened  only since i switched   what do i do to get Massenger Chart  back on my system.    The oroginal  statement  said (NOTHING WILL CHANGE) it has   ?????????    and  answers

I have recently recieved a notice that my hotmail messenger account will be closed and skype will be taking it over  I do not like this and i want to keep my hotmail account , I do not make many phone calls and I would rather just send emails . Any help out therel ?

I made the update as per email received to change my messenger to skype and would like to know why I don't have the choice in doing a call phone or a video call?  When I sign in directly to skype it provides me the choice of doing a video call or call alone.  What if my contact does not have a phone what do I do then.

I was told I had to download Skype, now all my emails in hotmail have disappeared – one new one says, welcome to Hotmail. where are my emails?

Because I use messenger I got an email saying that I had to download Skype, even tho I won't be using it. I downloaded it and then Hotmail opened but all my emails were gone. One 'new' one welcoming me to Hotmail. What happened to all my emails and how do I get them back.

Do we HAVE TO upgrade to outlook.com?

Do we HAVE TO upgrade to outlook.com and stop using Messenger and upgrade to Skype? I'm only on dial up so Skype
doesn't work and with my version of windows i can't use messenger unless it's through Firefox and I know Skype won't work
through that at all! I want to stay with what I have and use messenger through Firefox, even then I only have 2 people on it so
what would be the point of having a Skype account? Not all of us can afford new computers

Messenger is no longer Supported & Skype is Blocked

Dear Team,

Currently I am in Oman.  And here Skype is blocked.
Since from today onwards Messenger will no longer be supported and all the users will have to start using Skype messenger,
then in that case what about users like me, How will be able to use Messenger Service as Skype is Blocked.

Please Suggest.
