skype and messenger are merging. I do not want to merge the two accounts but want to continue using the MSN address for e-mailing. Will the account style remain as it was before, *** Email address is removed for privacy *** ?
thanks for nay help on this
I had no problems setting up the skype account but there the trouble started.
Firstly the process did not delete my messenger account and secondly none of my folders with previous emails have been migrated over to the new skype account.
I attempted to get some advice from the skype help center about these problems with no luck and now I keep getting an email from the skype help group up to 20 times per day. It is the same unhelpful email over and over again.
Can you tell me whether I really need to go through with this upgrade and if so can you help me to make it work properly.
Also can you please help me to stop these useless emails from filling up my inbox.

I have same issue, I can merge MSN contact to Skype sucessful and I can IM with my frineds, after a day, I re-login again, my MSN contact is lost/disappeared, even I login in MSN the contact is empty?
Today (the next day I posted my question), I can see msn contacts in Skype but all of them are blocked, I go to the page of blocked listing, just found 2 of them and both of these blocked contacts can't be unblocked?
Please help!
How do i get my contact. I try to create new group but the
after i add in all the contacts the new group still not showing
of my contacts. Please help me to solve this asap. Thank you.
I have been using Messenger for some time to access my Hotmail Plus account. Messenger opens when I open the computer - then I click on the Hotmail icon to open Hotmail without ID or password. It appears that this capability has diappeared as well as the
notification that I have new email.
I do not use Messenger for sending instant messages, nor do I have an interest in doing so. Is Skype strictly for voice, text messaging and webcam? There is reference to Outlook.com appears to have the same problem of having to enter ID and password each time.
For now, it appears that I should just use Internet Explorer to access my email>

I got a email from the Messanger Team. They said they are retiring the existing Messanger Service globally and bringing the great features of Messenger and Skype together. They asked me to update to Skype. What does this mean? Will I not be able to use Windows Live Mail? Are they shutting down Windows Live Mail? If this is true what will happen to my emails? Please help. Thank you.
