I updated my messenger to Skype and now there is no way for me to check e-mail from it or to know when I got an e-mail. WTH????? Then I try to download messenger again but it is forcing me to Skype which serves no purpose for me in terms of e-mail. Someone
please let me know if there is a solution to this. Very frustrated right now... Did they not think this through or what????

The question uis self explanatory...I received, from the Microsoft team, two upgrade invitations...one to Outlook and the other one to Skype. Before, with another account i upgraded to Skype and my Hotmail contacts were there but I couldn't use video chat
unless they were with Skype...I deleted that one but Hotmail never came back to the same format I knew. Now, I don't know what to do. Can someone give me an idea?
I currently am using a different program for IM and wanted to know if I will still be able to sign in to my Microsoft Account via that program after the Messenger upgrade date? Will I be forced to use Skype in order to continue communicating with my contacts?
I already have a Skype acct which I use for one person only. I have and DON'T use Messenger. Never have, never will. I didn't even want it but I had to take it because it was automatically added when I got Windows Live. BTW, I have Skydrive too which
I didn't want either. Anyway, since I already have a Skype account that IS NOT associated with Messenger, what do I need to do to make sure I don't have problems with my Skype account when Microsoft tries to make my Messenger experience...which I don't use,
don't want..."better". How can I keep it from messing up my existing Skype account? All I want to do is use my Skype account without a whole lot of hassels and problems. Can't they just leave it alone for those of us who won't use all the bells and whistles
and don't want all their accounts in one place.
I don't use either one, not the least bit interested and don't want them on my computer wasting space; how do I opt out of these?

I upgrade my windows live messenger to skype and I had told that I can sign in using the same account in messenger after that I failed in signing to skype so I sign in by facebook account and I can not see my friend on windows live messenger
when I first got the notice about Messenger retiring and to upgrade to Skype, I panicked and tried to make the change but had a really hard time and had to keep trying to install it so I just gave up and removed the Messenger/Skype all together. I never
really used Messenger anyway,I only kept it on the desktop to see when an e-mail came in. I received another notice to do the merge to Skype but I saw on here that it would not affect Hotmail live itself if I don't but now I see on here that we will have to
upgrade to this Outlook? if I choose not to do it will I lose my e-mail account permanently? I'm confused with all these changes and I hope I just misunderstood things and about this Outlook upgrade.(oh at the bottom I didn't know which e-mail topic to pick
so that's why I chose that one) I do have a small problem sometimes with receiving e-mails and not know I have any untill I restart my puter and then I see it but one thing at a time,right
