I can log into outlook but not sky drive – get an error 403 message

I am upgrading laptops and have a clean install Win 7 Pro with IE 10.  Haven't done anything fancy with the security on it.  I have tried to login to Skydrive and get a message thus:

 

This page can't be displayed
  • Make sure the web address https://skydrive.live.com is correct.
  • Look for the page with your search engine.
  • Refresh the page in a few minutes.
  • Make sure TLS and SSL protocols are enabled. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Settings > Security
  • Check that all network cables are plugged in.
  • Verify that airplane mode is turned off.
  • Make sure your wireless switch is turned on.
  • See if you can connect to mobile broadband.
  • Restart your router.
 
So, I tried the TLS & SSL to include versions not included in the previous build (IE 8), but to no avail. 
 
Then tried clicking the Fix connection problem button and get the following:
Windows received an HTTP error message: 403 (Forbidden) from "skydrive.live.com"
Detected
Contact the owner of the remote site for permission
Completed
Windows can reach the site, but you do not have permission to access the content.
I then tried logging into Outlook online successfully, yet when I try to switch into Skydrive using the dropdown option, I get the same (first) error message.
 
I have even tried installing the PC Version 2013 (Build 17.0.2011.0627) - it never achieves login.
 
I have checked the service status online and it appears ok.  Any help greatly appreciated.

Skydrive Not syncing in Windows 7 with 30Gb folder

Hello.

I have been waiting for about two weeks Skydrive to Sync. The last time I saw the Skydrive notification area, it said 16 Gb of 30Gb, more or less, and for 2 days it stayed the same. I reboot the computer so Skydrive restart looking for changes but since I did that, the message is always the same "Processing Changes", without any additional information.

My Internet connection is very stable, it's a working computer and it's always connected by cable to a wide bandwith network.

¿How can I get some more information about what's causing problems?

I can see log files but they are useless for me.

Skydrive Sync with Library Mirror

I'm new to Skydrive. I downloaded the desktop client which shows up at the top of my Windows Explorer under "Favorites" (running Win 7 64 bit) and put all the files I wanted in Skydrive into that folder and ran sync and everything was fine. Then I discovered I could right click the Skydrive folder and go "Include  in library" under My Docs where all my other files are, so i did that, but just today I discovered now what I update in that library Skydrive folder is not syncing with the main Skydrive where it auto-installed under "Favorites," which appears to also be the one syncing with online. So whatever I do in the library "Skydrive" under My Docs is not syncing  with the actual Skydrive or with the online Skydrive. This is weird bc I thought the Skydrive I sent to My Docs library was just a mirror? Please help.

I'm trying to browse my pictures and onenote file on the skydrive website, but for the past few days, I keep receiving the error "Sorry, something went wrong Please try again. If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check whether there's a problem with SkyDrive or to report the issue". Whenever I click on the Service status link, everything show up green and says it's working.

I found out that when I use IE, I can access my files just fine, but when I use my main browser, Chrome, I encounter the issue. Is there anyway to fix this? I would like to continue accessing skydrive on Google Chrome and do not wish to open another browser just to grab a photo. I'm using Windows 7.

Hi,

When I trie to acces Skydrive I instantly get an error message: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

I do not have connexion problems,

and my Outlook account works fine, on behalf of the fact that the instant messages don't work eather,

but I am able to read my emails etc.

I tried to acces directly Skydrive, by a link on Google

and also tried to acces it from my Outlook account when I was signed in, but same error message.

I don't even get the frontpage were I can sign in.

 

This PC is still running on Windows XP (but always worked fine with Skydrive until now)

It seems to be working on my other PC (windows7), as I accessed Skydrive a few days ago.

 

Is Skydrive in maintenance or is this a problem with this (Windows XP) PC?

Skydrive error message. Skydrive will not sync

I have Skydrive on several devices. Recently I received some sort of error message that I cannot remember on my main laptop. I also noticed that the little green checkmark icons that show whether the file is updated and synched have disappeared. So the data is there, but I cannot sync it. Something in the message about lost identity, maybe? All the files are still visible on my other devices, and I assume can be synched.

System: Win 8 running on Toshiba Laptop

Hello!

 

I have tried to download Skydrive from the Microsoft website.

 

I clicked to save, and I also clicked to open. It then asks me which program do I want to open skydrive with.

 

I have another user on this laptop and we are both administrators and I notice I have skydrive when I use outlook, but I wanted the SkyDrive folder in the file explorer. Can you help please.

SkyDrive Pro back to regular SkyDrive?

I synced to SkyDrive Pro (SharePoint) and want to disconnect it and get back to synching my regular SkyDrive associated with my live id.  How can I do this?  I have tried reinstalling the desktop application and it continues to connect to Pro and I can't find any place to configure it otherwise.

Also, from the browser, SkyDrive says "sorry but skydrive can't connect to MarkW". 

I am currently running Windows 8.1.
