Have always been able to email pictures through Photo Gallery, however, recently all I get is an error message.  At first I thought it was because of Explorer 11, so I went back to 9..still no success.  Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the message I get when trying to sent pictures:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (dhowe41) account.

I would like to use Photo Gallery to import pictures in Windows 8.1.

Rather than open the program first, I'd like to just plug in the camera - but the only program that will open for importing pictures is the new Metro "Photos" app.  How can I change the setting in windows so that it uses the desktop program "Photo Gallery" instead?

Photo won't open but displays photos on the start screen,

Mail Says it cannot sync,

Calendar is hit and miss with syncing,

Photo Gallery won't open,

Windows Media Player doesn't recognise where my music files are.

All the above programs were working fine(ish) and then for no apparent reason they all started playing up/stopped working, even though no settings were changed.

(Mail has always been glitchy)

Using Windows 8.1 (Windows 7 + Windows 8 upgrade disc + Windows 8.1 upgrade through the Store)

So there I was flicking through my photos with Photo Gallery when all of a sudden and without warning they all disappeared. Every single one of them.

It then brought up a dialogue box citing error code 0x8007000b.

Then I tried to access the photographs with the Windows 8.1 Photos App but that couldn't find them either, (even though the app had showed them 10 minutes earlier) citing a dialogue box saying "pictures.library-ms" is no longer working. This library can be safely deleted from your PC. Folders that have been included will not be affected.

Both programs had been working fine and no changes had been made to any settings etc..

I have un-installed and re-installed Photo gallery but it continues to give code 0x8007000b and will not open.

It doesn't look as though the Photos app can be un-installed either.?.

The photos are stored both on my computer and Skydrive. Thankfully Skydrive hasn't lost them.

Also all of my music has disappeared from Windows Media Player.

Why is there no facility to repair these apps when they crash; Mail, Calendar and people etc.?

There is only so many times you can reformat your hard drive, and it is a pain when you don't just have the 8.1 disc but have to do this: Using Windows 8.1 (Windows 7 + Windows 8 upgrade disc + Windows 8.1 upgrade through the Store)

Your help would be appreciated.

I have grey boxes where I have copied some photos to an external memory and can not delete them.  This is annoying as I can not click through my photos and have to close each file and then open the next one.  How can I solve this?

Need a used guide for photo gallery. will only burn to data disk
I am using vista 32 bit service pack 2. I had uninstalled windows live essentials and checked windows photo gallery but it did not uninstall. I tried to re download WLEssentials but it said it was no longer downloading on vista. I hate WPGallery. I just want my pictures back. It is difficult to share. I did not have a password for administrator rights when installed so I don't know how to get rid of it. There has to be someway. PLEASE help me with this matter. I am baffled at this point. The rest of windows essentials was uninstalled and photo gallery is not listed under programs and features. Plz respond.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Will Photo Gallery 2011 automatically recognize pets or objects like it does people's faces?  If so, how do I do that?

Thanks!
