I can change the personal message in Messenger, but each time I log in, the old message appears.

I don't know how to make the change permanent. I delete a reference to ebuddy, but there's no confirmation, and I just move from the box. That seems to work, but the original is there next time I log in. I can find no reference in my profile for messenger or live, or mail, or any of the other totally confusing inter-connected stuff to reset the personal message, which seems a glaring omission.
I use Firefox btw.

Why doesn't messenger show songs I am listening to when I play music in spotify, I have relevant boxes ticked and up until last week they always showed.
