When I was switched over to OUTLOOK by Microsoft from Hotmail Plus, all my sub-directories that were with HOTMAIL were not with OUTLOOK. I have it checked "Keep on server", but I don't even have a blank sub-directories that I can try to retrieve from.

Where are my sub-directories? And why can't I switch back to "HOTMAIL".  I need the info in those sub directories and some are the only copies of the documents in there. That's why I paid for the "PLUS" years ago to ensure it's safety.

Microsoft should have the policy, "If it's not broke, don't fix it."

Hi,

I’ve recently started to use office 365, and would like to import my e-mails (and folders) from my desktop version of outlook 2013 to my outlook.com account, so that they’re synchronized.  Is this possible, and if so how do I import my e-mails to outlook.com?

Brgds,

Magne E.

Hi there,

I've noticed a strange behavior on the signatures. When I want to insert the signatures automatically (default account signature) Outlook somehow inserts a new line or better said a type of wrapper <div> at the beginning with a height of a new line. It even occurs on the learning video with a plain text example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_1jEy4vGyU (compare 2:16 vs. 2:55)

Inserting the signature manually doesn't insert any new line.

My main problem is, that this thing doesen't use the same styling I've defined and from the subject field you're only a tab key away writing a messed up message.  Any idea how to fix this issue?

Cheers,

Dom
I am so upset with outlook 2013.  Now it has decided to not send my mail.  It indicates it is send, but the other parties never receive my mail.  So everthing time I need to send mail, I email another one of my accounts to see if it is working.  If not, I have to shut down the computer and then try it again.  Usually this works.  This is unacceptable along with all the other problems I have had.
This bizarre incident took place last night which makes me suspicious that it *might* be a hack job although with Outlook, one can never be sure.

Long story long, last night my Outlook e-mail page was suddenly replaced by the Microsoft sign-up page informing me that I needed to enter my password  to verify my account as I was trying to access some "sensitive info". Actually, I was simply reading my e-mail. I ignored it thinking it was a hoax but later when I returned to my e-mail Inbox page (it's also my home page BTW), lo and behold after a few moments I was confronted by this request to once again verify my account.  Not being in the best of moods I ignored it and went to bed.

This morning when I logged on to the Interwebz, I was immediately confronted by the aforementioned sign-in page and not the usual sight of my Inbox page, so in desperation or exasperation (take your pick) I entered my password into the box as requested.  I was then taken to another page which said "Yes, we are being a bit over protective here but can you add your security passcode too?" My what? If added "If you don't have one or have forgotten it, which e-mail address shall we send it to?" and listed a corrupted version of my e-mail addresss. Now I was really concerned as to why an erroneous addy would be listed on an alleged official Microsoft site.

At this point I clicked the "I already have it " link which called up another page informing me that I would get this message again in 6 days (or 6 weeks -  can't remember which) before FINALLY sending me to my e-mails.

So, my questions are these:

Can someone from Microsoft/Outlook or better yet, Planet Earth, please confirm or deny that this is either a genuine but ridiculously elaborate safety procedure or a hacking hoax?

Has anyone else experienced this or am I alone?

Is there a fix for this?

I never had these problems with Hotmail...

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I have an IMac running snow leopard and outlook 2011 for Mac.

Since Microsoft changed from Hotmail I cannot get my outlook  2011 to sync with my live account.

So I purchased an office 365 home premium account, still no luck.

If I use pop3 (which I thought went out with the ark) it does no bring back my folders only my Inbox.

If I use Microsoft outlook for a web browser, all works well.  All of my folders are there.

If I use outlook 2013 on a surface pro running windows 8.1 then all of my folders are there.

However, I notice that the connection is an "exchange active sync" whereas all my other accounts (office 365 E1) are exchange server accounts.

When I try and use outlook 2011 for Mac outlook goes into a loop re-directing me to HTTPS:// autodiscover.Hotmail.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

And outlook never completes the connection.

Anybody any ideas ?

Thanks

Nigel

Last month I complained about the speed of Outlook.com after I was changed from hotmail.com - after various back and forths and hundreds of messages from Microsoft and other users regarding this issue, it seemed to have been resolved.
But, now it's back!
PLEASE, Microsoft!! - Undo whatever you have just done (I suspect we were routed to the US servers but have now gone back to the European ones) !!

Even this small message has taken several minutes because it's lagging so badly!

Thanks, bartoPL
For the past 2 months I've been using Microsoft's Outlook.com since Hotmail was taken away, and I was told it wouldn't be back, In the beginning Outlook appeared to be installed on my computer.  Then each day for the past 2-3 weeks I've gone to IE's V-9 to click on Outlook.com.  Today, 7/30/2013, instead of opening like the previous days, I was taken to a site that said I could purchase Outlook, or ask the Community about it.  So, here I am, please tell me what happened?  Why can't I find it, click on it, and start emailing? Does anyone here know what happened?
