Outlook.com email not working through Outlook 2007 – needs authentication letters or sounds never appear – HELP

Just changed to Outlook.com, downloaded and using the Connector...

 

Receiving mail fine - but can't send - dialog box appears and says need to input authentication letters (or sounds) but they never appear.

 

This is VERY frustrating - can send from web mail but not from Outlook - surely this should work seamlessly.

 

HELP PLEASE - before I switch to another generic email provider.

Outlook won’t send my emails

Have just upgraded to Windows 8.1 and downloaded Office365 Home Premium.
I use Microsoft Exchange server.
Opened Outlook and all seemed fine except all my email replies go into to outbox and stay there. It just won't send tem even when pressing sen/receive or send all. 
When I use the onmicrosoft email app emails send ok. It also works on my windows phone and iPad just not on my laptop

school mail vs. outlook

 I have had a school email address for 4 years it was *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and about 6 months ago they switched to outlook.com and I can log in to that one just fine but the problem  is I have mail and my contact list still on the old address that I need to access and when I try to log in it tells me im loged in  with outlook and to sign out of it and then sign back in with the other account and it still doesn't work . I've also sent an email to school for help with this problem and I get no reply from them either!


                                                                                                can some one please help or am just screwed

When I click on "Insert" there is an error message and Outlook temporarily shuts down. Cleared browsing history and restored advance settings, made no difference. This started when they replaced the attachment icon with "Insert". Does anyone know how to stop this foolishness? (without moving to IE10)

How do I retrieve all of my old saved emails from Hot Mail that all disappeared when I forced to switch to Outlook

Today, when I logged into my hotmail account, Outlook came up. But, none of probably 100 saved emails made it over to my inbox. In fact, there's nothing there! Plus, the toolbar has changed. How do I retrieve all of my old saved emails from hotmail? When I click v, there is no mail icon. Please advise - thanks!

Help Please. Outlook wants to re-download duplicates of 10,000 existing HOTMAIL emails on the server I want to keep. 

I have let it go before and do the re-download and then deleted the duplicates when finished. However, several days later, it wants to restart again and its sucking up valuable band width and taking up resources.

Outlook is set up as:
Incoming as: pop3.live.com (995)
Outgoing as smtp.live.com (587)

Its really annoying and killing my Outlook experience. 

Please help with how to stop this.

My Outlook inbox notification keeps showing a lot more emails than I actually have.  Example: he count on left side shows i have like 116 but I only have actually 20 to be read.

How do I correct this anyone know?
