I have switched back to Hotmail from Outlook but my emails are now being grouped, unsolicited, and often wrongly with no association among the grouped emails. How can I stop this?

I have switched back to Hotmail from Outlook but my emails are now being grouped, unsolicited, and often wrongly with no association among the grouped emails. How can I stop this? I didn't ask for Outlook and think that it is not well thought through but now I seem to be saddled with its so-called functions back in Hotmail. Any ideas?
