I have a 1 min video on movie maker which is file type WIMP How do I get movie maker to recognise it so I can convert to use on utube?
I have made a movie and I am completely finished. I have already saved but now I want to publish the movie to my computer, so I can upload the movie online or put it on a memory stick. However, the only way I can publish with movie maker is if I save
the film as a file online. I don't want to do this. So how can I publish a movie to my COMPUTER? Sorry, If I sound really simple but everyone I have asked has assumed I haven't look at the windows website but I have. It tells you there is an option to
publish to your computer but there isn't. Please, any help would be great.
I am having problems recording my tape from my video camcorder. Down loading is no ploblem but recording onto the dvd and it always stop at 32%. The movie maker has stop working and if I start all over, It will stop at 32 % again. Please help...Ken

When I try and open movie maker, a window comes up and tells me that i do not have all the system requirement to use it. I then checked the site to find the requirements andI ampretty sure I have all of them, yet it still will not open.
Can someone please tell me where I can find the official codecs for movie maker?

001.wmv could not be imported. The required codec was not downloaded automatically because the Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box.
I selected the check box and was able to import the file, but since I did that movie maker crashed regularly, and my computer went to a crawl.
After running my security software, I discovered my computer had been infiltrated. I removed the threats, but found my computer did not perform as it did before, and movie maker continued to crash. So I started with a fresh OS. I don't want to go through the same drama, by allowing the automatic codec download. So I would like to know where I can download the genuine codecs.

I imported an MP4 movie into movie maker.
When I burn the movie to DVD, the movie has double audio.
The source movie has two audio tracks in it, so I believe that movie maker is just putting both tracks into it's mix.
Is there a way of selecting just one of the audio streams?
How do I extend the time for displaying a picture in movie maker? My sound track is seven minutes long; as boring as it may be, I'd like to show the same single picture for the whole seven minutes. How do I do this?
I am having a clicking sound in my left audio channel when using Movie maker after the Windows 8.1 update. It remains even after I close the program and access other audio or video files including those on the internet. I have to restart the computer to
make it go away and it only returns if I open Movie Maker and try to do a project. Pleas help! The program has become useless since the update. I am on Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205)
