I have been experiencing an issue where someone knows my email security question and have subsequently been changing my email password.

I have since updated my mobile number linked to my account and password in order to improve the security on my account but was unable to change my security question and answer due to my account security needing to be processed following the mobile number changes.

Following the change I have since had the issue where my new password is now invalid for my email which brings me to believe that someone is of the knowledge of my security question answer.

Therefore I would like to update more of my security details which I am unable to do because my mobile number needs to be processed with a deadline of 1st November 2013 which gives too much opportunity for someone to once again change my email password.

Since I got this message by password has once again been changed and now have reached the limit for how many times I can change my password without it being blocked

Just want to be able to reset my security information completely in order to change it all to a high enough level that I won't get hacked again.

I know this is a common thread however my Hotmail account of 10 years has been blocked for an untold reason  and I'm unable to verify through a now defunct email address and mobile number.

 

I have been through the process and await verification through the questionnaire. Should this typically take much longer than the 24 hours suggested ? Causing me untold hassle and Business damage and driving me away from Hotmail /Outlook.

 

 

Why was I forced to give you my mobile number for "security"? If I didn't give you my number I couldn't get in to my emails. some of us like to keep our numbers private so they don't get sold. so far I have never had cold calls on my phone and have had the same number for 16 years, it will be interesting to see if I do now. I asked for my number to be removed by the live chat and was basically told it couldn't be as its for security. I have had this email account for years and if my number doesn't get removed I will be deleting my account and want  it in writing that you have not kept any of my details

I'm in shock ! I use my hotmail ID to sign in for Facebook.got an alert from FB saying pls update email as yr id *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is invalid.

I tried to sign in to my account ,and successfully managed after changing my password which was sent as a text o my mobile number as you have my mobile number saved.

However on opening the account I saw that it is empty! There are no emails !!! I have been using this account since 1997.

Have very important emails which are stored here.some of them are from my mother who passed away in 2001. I go back every now and then just to read those mails.i haven't gotten around to accessing this account for a few months and now it seems something is wrong!

Please help me in retrieving my emails! Why is my account empty ????

my hotmail account has blocked now, on verifying to that account via mobile i noticed that i have entered my mobile number wrongly. i coldnt login to the mail i couldnt change my mobile number also ... pls help
Hi I registered *** Email address is removed for privacy *** on domains.live.com to use with Outlook. I wanted to set up Email forwarding for this id. But outlook asked me to verify the account with my mobile number. I successfully verified the same by entering the code which I received via SMS.
When I went back to the Email Forwarding settings, its still saying:

This feature is currently disabled. We're trying to discourage spammers - sorry to get in your way.Verify your account and you'll be able to use this and all other features right away.

I tried multiple times but no help.

I am in charge of media and the website for my University UNICEF society. We are using domains.live.com as our email provider. The issue I am having is that I cannot verify multiple accounts using the same mobile number. I am the only on with knowledge on how to setup these accounts.


Essentially, we have the following:

publicity@ ->REDIRECTS TO-> the_person_in_charge_of_publicity@

So that we have a relatively simple email address for outside people to email, instead of remembering names. But when I verify the second email (out of our list of 20) it says "unable to send code, please try later"


How can i verify all of these accounts easily?

So the past week everytime I log-in to my Hotmail/Outlook it tells me to enter my Mobile Number and it'd send me a text to activate. I tried basically every time I logged in, but never got a text (yes it's been a week of attempts). Today when I logged on, the skip button said today is the last day I could skip adding a Mobile Number... What am I supposed to do?

Kind of late to switch all my different website accounts to a new email too...
